  11. More than likely they were short striking it with their mouths and the trebel that did not get in their mouth ended up in the gill/side. Pretty common to get the second hook not in a bass' mouth into another body part. Just part of crankin! Jeff

  13. I have a good deal of experience with travel rods, however not in the price range you are looking for. I have fished with the Fenwick Methods travel rod that belongs to my buddy, and it is decent for the price. Also, it is like getting 2 rods for the price of 1. That would be my recommendation for a lesser expensive rod. Also, some guys have taken the BPS brand 3 piece rods down to Mexico and they work. I think they might be close to your budget. Jeff

  20. Fill a 5 gallon bucket (or something similar) 1/3 of the way with quickcrete. Place you pvc in and then add water. Let it sit overnight, and you are good to go.
