Ever Fish Kerr Lake
I've fished Kerr alot but its been a long time ago. Won a few tournaments there several 2 second place finishes so if the summer pattern is on you can get five good fish fast pitching the log jams up the river but be careful get there. I won a tounrament in Aug. with 24 lbs fishing a big texas rig worm on main lake points (stumps) while water was down my big fish was 7.14 caught in sight of the old Clarksville bridge.

On A Boat!!!
My thoughts are you should join a local B.A.S.S. afiliated club. The club members get to meet you and have the option to vote you in or not. You will get to fish in club tournaments as a nonboater a couple days a month. You'll get to fish with different boaters each month make new friends and learn a lot of new things. But you wiil have to be a BASS member, Bass Federation Member and pay club dues and split gas expenses with the boater you draw each month. Anyway thats what I'd do if I didn't have a boat and wanted to fish!!

What Time Do You Start Fishing?
It depends on the time of the year, water temps, weather. Most of the bigger bass I've caught seem to come between 10am and 2pm. But I start early maybe it just takes me that long to dial them in LOL. Lots of things to think about in the winter when water temps 45ish I don't get on the water till after 9. In the spring here bass feed heavy at night during the shad spawn so they seem to be full at first light and feed more later in morning. Once they move deeper in the summer I like to start early hoping to get a couple on topwater bite while there shallow in the morning. Early in fall as well till water temps start dropping.

At What Size Bass Do You Get Excited Over?
Every bite gets me excited then when they get in the boat if there big thats even better. I treat each bite as if its a new state record and happy just to catch one.

My Fishing Buddy And I Challenge The Pros
So my take is the white line areas are your shallow water structure close to deep water and if theres any cover its going to hold some fish each day. Thats also where I would spend most of my time in summer and winter after the sun starts getting hot. The red line area is where I would fish most at dusk and dawn. At dawn and dusk I'd parallel cast all of the banks white and red with topwater, shallow running cranks, spinnerbait, buzzbait, as the sun gets up I'd start using a weightless worm still casting parallel but just a little farther out. Then as the sun gets hotter and hotter I'd try some fallen cover close to the deepest water with weighted worm and or fooball jig or casted in to the deepest water you can reach carolina rig as well. In the winter I'd fish the white areas with jerkbaits, Jigs, slow rolled spinnerbait maybe. That little thumb on the northwest is the best looking area on the lake for year round fishing to me.

My Fishing Buddy And I Challenge The Pros
It really just depends on the pond size, shape, depth, structure, cover, etc. Time of year plays a big part, time of day. You might catch a bunch in the shallow early in the season and none there again until fall. So if you cant reach them from the shore then you and or a pro will just be peeing in the wind. The best time to fish any pond from the bank will be at dawn and then dusk when the fish move shallow cruising the banks. You should post a goggle map picture so we can see what your dealing with then maybe we could give you some ideas.

This Morning....
I just wondered your photos from a couple months ago appeared to be at a pond or farm. All the photos had the same house in back round and a farm gate in one of them. It appeared like they were in the live well at your house or something. Anyway just wondered.

Smith Mountain Lake Pig! And A Few Others
I've been fishing a lot of different stuff latey caught fish on all of it. Some are coming off main lake point on crankbaits and topwater. Some pitching docks with senkos, jigs and worms. Somedays I dont even catch a fish on the same thing 2 Sundays ago I fished an hour and a half without a bite then changed the way I was fishing the same bait and caught 5 in an hour and a half. The night fish are coming on Thunderstick that big striper came on thunderstick. Doesn't really seem to matter where you fish on the lake just concentrate on shallow water structure and suspended fish in or around cover. That will change in a couple of week but it seems to be working now. I fish all over the lake it just depends on my mood that day. I don't fish Tournaments very often so I mostly try to stay away from crowds. Funny though I hardly ever fish between Indian point and State Park I dont ever fish tubes either probley should I use to catch lots of fish on them years ago. After all that rain this week I'll have to go find them again myself it also helps to during the week if you can, so your not always fishing used water. 3 big tournaments this weekend probley 500 boats not including the local tournament and pleasure fishing. There wont be any stone left unturned this weekend.
