Thanks guy's! I tend to think that because I am fishing from shore I am relegated to soft plastics. I have got a couple of Buzz baits and Spinner baits that are going to get a work out when I am healthy enough to get back out there.

Hey welcome my friend!! What kind of lures do you presently have?

Need some help. I do not have a boat so I am relegated to fishing from shore. Are there baits that I should stay away from or baits that I should go with? I use a lot of soft plastics and some inline spinners. I have stayed away from crankbaits and spinnerbaits and feel like I might be missing out. Any thoughts?

Sugar Kisses/ ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN Anything by TEARS FOR FEARS I LOVE 80's music! I worked at a hotel in the 80's that was down the street from a major outdoor arena that had all the major stars. Most of the bands stayed at the hotel so I got to meet all of them and free concert tickets out the ying yang. Best job ever for an 18 year old!!

Ok, so, MCS got me to thinking about stuff I used to collect. When I was a kid I used to collect baseball, football, and hockey cards. I lived in Encino Calif when I was in the 3rd and 4th grade and we used to live next to a guy who was an animator at Hanna Barbara. He would bring home boxes of celluloids of cartoon characters that he would draw. We had hundreds of these things from Yogi Bear to the Pink Panther. My dad got sick of seeing these things all over the place so one day he up and........THREW THEM OUT I don't even want to think about how much those things would be worth today. I also had a stamp collection and actually had 2 first edition MAN ON THE MOON stamps. Dad got to those too. No he did not throw them away, he sold them to feed a gambling habit As I got older I collected beer cans, hats, and other stuff. What about you guys, what do you or did you collect?

Hey royal0014 I almost forgot. The doctors at Hopkins determined my Migraines were a direct result of food allergies. I stay away from many different types of foods and it really helps. No canned soups, no hot dogs, bananas, caffeine, and chocolate are just a few. Might be something to look into

Boy do I know the feeling. Constanly being in pain is no fun and very discouraging. I go through bouts of being depressed also. I try to keep a positive attitude but, again, when you are in constant pain and do not know when or if it will end it is hard. I go through each day wondering "is this the day I am going to have a real bad attacK, and if so what do i do if it happens. I am constantly looking at my surroundings, especially driving trying to figure out the best place to be if the attack comes I also worry that if I miss too much work i'm not going to keep my job very long. I have been at the job less than a year and already missed 5 days. OUCH!! CAN"T LIVE LIFE LIKE THAT!!KEEP YOUR CHIN UP MY FRIEND!! I do alot of this and it seems to help :pray:

Hi evanmeister, I have had some luck at Centennial but all were small mouth. Have not had too much luck at Wilde Lake. Have not been back since the dredging. I also am a shore angler. Always looking for someone to throw a line with. Pm me, maybe we can meet up some time.

SO GLAD LIFE STARTS AGAIN IN A WEEK OR TWO!! I go through withdrawal symptoms in the off season. I will not allow myself to get too excited. Being a lifelong Redskin fan I am accustom to mediocrity. Heck, there were years I would have been happy to have mediocre. I have been out fishing twice this year Would love to go more but health won't cooperate. I have a condition called Meniers Disease which affects my balance and hearing. When the pressure in my head builds up too great it throws me in to bad vertigo attacks which in turn causes severe migraines.Not a hole lot of fun! I have ringing in my ears 24/7 365 and just about every day I have mild to moderate headaches. It's a good thing I don't own a boat and do all my fishing from shore.(I can see it now, I'm out on the boat and have one of my attacks, I loose my balance and BINGO! I am up close and personal with the fish ) Oh well, thank the Lord for BASSRESOURCE.COM or I would go completely out of my mind. Any way, I was wondering what some of the things are that keep some of you guys from getting out more often?

Good luck !! Study hard and get good grades so when you make it out and are on your own you can dictate to life what you are going to do, not life dictating to you!!

That sucks!! So sorry to hear about this. I cannot imagine what you must be going through. Know that I am praying for you and your son. I will also pray for your wife. Take a page out of a fishes life. When the weather gets rough and the waves get high fish will always go to deeper water for comfort and safety. I would encourage you to do the same. Seems an elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%. The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, "Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased you can hear again." To which the gentleman said, "Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will five times!"

A blond calls her boyfriend one night crying. Boy friend ask's whats wrong and the blond say's through her tears" I can't do it, I just can't do it." The boy friend asks what it is that she can't do? The blond say" s "ive been trying to put this crossword puzzle together and I just can't do it.' The boyfriend asks if she has the box with the picture on it and the blond say's yes. He then instructs her to start with the end pieces and work her way in. She say's ok and hangs up. About 2 hours later she calls back sobbing uncontrollably and cry's "i can't do it , I still can't do it, Ive tried and tried but all the pieces look the same" So the boy friend say's Ok take a break and I will come by and help. About 15 minutes later the boy friend shows up and ask's to see the puzzle. The blond is still crying as they walk into the kitchen where the boy friend takes a look at the picture on the box and has his girl friend sit down. He then looks at her and say's "honey you need to calm down, everything is going to be all right but the first thing we need to do is get the cereal back in the box"

4-5 I have a condition called Menieres Disease and one of the symptoms is excessive ringing in the ears. I have had this now for over ten years. Cannot remember the last time I slept a full night . I take a nap everyday at lunch. About 20. Oh yea, I also have sleep apnea. Sucks getting older.

Just had this happen to me 2 days in a row. Tried everything except the kitchen sink! Gotta be honest, it does get discouraging. :cry3:Now I expect this from time to time seeing as how I am a bank fisherman, but it seems to be happening alot more lately. Wish some of you guys lived in my area, I would buy you some adult refreshments to hang out with me for a couple of hours and give me some advice .
