$150 for Finesse Rig...what to do???
For dropshots and Shakey heads I would get a medium. For rod and reel get anything Shimano and if you wanna go less on the rod and more on the reel the Vendettas are super sensitive and only $80 but you can find them cheaper used. I own 2 my bro owns 2 and my dad owns like 8 But any rod in that price range will perform about the same, Its pretty much personal preferance ( like name or color) Hope this helped

Looking for new spinning rod. Suggestions?
Well if you wanna keep it cheap I wouldnt go with a Crucial or G Loomis and you dont hear much about Fenwick here is what I would be looking at Carbon Lite - $90 Bucoo-$100 Compre - $100 Veritas - $100 Vendetta - $80 A wise man once told me that you should get what you want not what people tell you to get or you will never be happy or content with what you have Hope this helped

Fishing Swamps what works and what doesnt
First of all this is for newbies and people that dont really fish swamps much. Ok I have fished mostly swamps in my life and just baught membership in one and I have found the most productive bait is a Black Trick worm. I am fishing more and more baits. Cants for a Swamp: Deep Diving Cranks, swamps generally arent that deep and the bottom is normally mushy and is alot of places are grassy so NO deep divers and only shallow divers in clear places. Dos for swamps: Most swamps are full of Emergent grass, lilly pads an d submergent grass so Frogs, Flipping, Punching and creture baits are good. I will add to this thread I hope it helped I just did this cause I was bored thanx

Isn't Abu a reel company trying to make rods? They're primarily known for making reels, but theres a ton of people using the Abu rods now. Just sayin... Yea but I wouldnt buy one untill they have alot of reviews EDIT: And Abu had alot of history in the Bass world W&M doesnt they have mad like ONE bass rod

Anyone use the Laser Lures?
Yes but as it shines it is like the source is somwhere else and shining on the lure
-
larger lures?
X2 Big baits + Big bass now a 12 " worm isnt gonna catch a average 1-2 lb. fish but you will catch 4+ bass

Anyone use the Laser Lures?
Like I said I havent used them but I threw it in the water (my pool) and I think your right it didnt really point on the walls

New skeet products!
I would want Abu over a rod company trying to make a reel I do not think that was a good choice for Abu but whatever they have IKE.

Anyone use the Laser Lures?
I have one but havent got a chance to fish with it yet But I dont think they are a gimick. You know how a dog or cat or just any animal will chace a laser? Bass do the same I saw a video of somone taking a laser and shining into a bass tank and the bass were going crazy so I can t wait to use it

http://skeetreeseinc.com/Icast2010.html Ok first this new rod sounds really nice, its lighter, and has micros. And second why in the world is W&M making a reel!?!?!?! I gurrantee he will be using the SKeet Revos instead of these to me they look cheap but whatever. Does anyone have any idea when this rod will debut?

Techniqe specific rods (is it needed?)
Im not worried about being able to throw weightless senkos that is easy, im wondering abt throwing weightless trick worms but ill probably just get ust to the spinner again
-
Techniqe specific rods (is it needed?)
I like that Idea cause I have been throwing B/C for 3-4 monthes and it is unconfortable to thow a spinning combo it is only really needed for tubes cause I could (havent done it a while) throw a weight less trick worm 40-50 feet.

Techniqe specific rods (is it needed?)
Ok my dad baught all Vendettas and uses pretty much the same size a 7' Medium and Medium Heavys and one 7'3" MH, he uses them for every techniqe. I see the skeet reese rods are specific in what they can be used for, Is this needed? Do I need a rod flimsier than a Medium Ugly Stick for cranks and a Broom stick for worms and jigs or should I find a rod and style I like and by all that like my dad?
