  1. I use a blue and white jig but I'm not trying to mimic a craw with these colors.
  2. I see nothing wrong with braid for deep cranking if your set-up can keep from tearing hooks out...more power to ya. I just like my line to be a little more forgiving. 8-10# Invizx is a good one.
  3. I've had some days where I fished it really slow like a jig. Twitch it right when it lands and then wait.....and wait....and wait....BAM! lol
  4. Chart. Shad and Aurora Black (blue and chrome) work wonders as well.
  5. Those Owner CPS Lights are great for Senkos as far as making it last but I just have horrible hook-up ratios with any form of wide gap hook. It's probably a combination of lack of confidence in them and me swinging for the fences.
  6. I set mine by feel to but I wanted to know how accurate my feel is.
  7. When mechanically setting drag do you pull straight off the spool or do you do it like in a real world setting...line through the guides and rod loaded? There's a big difference.
  8. I like it in the 4/0 med. wire especially in heavy cover, weeds, grass etc etc. Just bite 1/4in. off the front when it tears. Funny that it was made for robos and seems to damage robos worse than it does others.
  9. Man that sucks. They look so good. Yeah, I'll trade you something for them. My tackle bag needs to go on a diet. I'm weeding through it right now, will pm you later.
  10. Wow, I didn't even notice the other thread about it on this page. How observant of me. Yeah, the new search works great. I need to use it more often.
  11. We'd all be much better off to not read anything any company says about it's own product.
  12. Just got a bag of these in bluegill. I've been eyeballing them for a while. Anybody else using them? Do the claws float nicely?
  13. Okay, it's been out long enough for people to form an opinion on it. So, let's hear it. Is it a winner or a banjo minnor?
  14. They also make Gander Mountain's Dean Rojas X-Factor baits. They make some really good looking colors. 10in. curly tail worm in Easy Money has been a good one for me. Don't know if they make them or not but the regular Gander Mountain brand plastics are a killer deal. Absolutely love their 7in. finesse worm in bluegill.
  15. I almost jumped on a Cumulus this winter. A store on ebay had them for $295 shipped but that was the only fishing gear they had and only had like 4 available. It seemed a little fishy to me so passed on it. If I got one it would be the 7'1" used as a jig/c-rig rod.
  16. I had a tip break off of my 7'2" spinning rod....when I rammed it into my ceiling like I was flounder gigging. Over the counter warrantied all I had to pay was shipping.
  17. Alot of people get lost in appearences sometimes, myself included. I just saw a plain jane black rod with a $240 price tag on it and thought nahhh. A friend mentioned them to me and said I really should give them a try. So, I did something I never do...ordered one online without ever touching it. When it got here the first thing I thought was Oh my God I'm about to lose $40 after I ship this thing back. I didn't like the glossy resin finish, like a gel-coat on a boat. Before, I always liked a raw graphite feeling blank because to me it seemed like rods with that finish were more sensitive. I was wrong. It only took about three cast in the front yard to realize what I was holding. Like I said before, in my opinion, there isn't a rod in that retail price range that will touch it. What blows my mind even more is the fact that the last 3 I bought cost $185 a piece....shipped. Buy It Now or Best Offer can get you a really good deal sometimes. I love Cumaras so much that I won't even pick up a Cumulus in the store. I'm scared it will do the same thing to me the Cumara did...make me hate all my other rods.
  18. I'm pretty much over it now. Luckily most of them were older $100-$120 Kistler, BPS, and All-Stars that wouldn't sell for much but still. It was another life lesson about patience. There was one positive thing that came from it...I now have a bunch Cumaras, a GLoomis, and tried out a couple of Dobyns rods.
  19. OOOOh ok. When I went and looked at them on TW all I saw was the 75 and 85. I'll have to go back an look.
  20. Durability...I got one for ya. I ran over two of my Cumaras in my front yard in a Ford F-350 4wd dually....two years ago. I ran over 12 rods and the Cumaras were the only to survive. A few others made it to the lake but broke on the first cast or fish. I have caught more fish than I can guesstimate on both including a 10.5 and a 10.75 in the last three months and quite a few in the 7-9 range. Yeah, I know that sounds nuts but it happened. I've been waiting for one of them to break but I don't think it's going to happen. I don't think under-rated is the word...under-priced seems more appropriate. You have to go way up in the price range to equal or better them. There is no other rod in that price range that compares to the weight and sensitivity. When I restocked my rod box I had a price range of $300-$350 and ended up with a Cumara. Now I have five. They can be bought for less than $200-$220 if you do your homework. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.
  21. My buddy has one of those that looks like it's been drug behind a truck down a gravel road but it will throw a zara spook further than any other bass reel I've ever seen. It's like watching those guys with the big 10ft sewer pipes distance casting. It's a freak.
  22. I have no idea. I was just assuming after what Fat-G said. Whatever it is, the Storm Trooper skin is awesome.
  23. New Chronarch, really?? Looks like the exact same frame as the Core and Curado 50E but with the awesome Septon paddles that are on the 200E. I bet they have bearings in them to. I love those grips. If that is a Chronarch, then those grips will have bearings and I will be buying some Chronarch handles for my Cores....and a couple of Chronarchs as well.
