Setting the hook
Agree with the others....quick and hard hook set is a most. I do a couple of things to all my jigs that I believe help my hook set ratio 1) Trim the hook gard to level with the tip of the hook. 2) Trim the skirt to 1/2 " from the hook. 3) With a pair of pliers open the curve/gap of the hook so the tip point up instead of flat. Good luck

Very nice Ligthninrod....the handles are in the wrong side ;D but otherwise beautiful sets.- Super fluke
As erratic as you can make it. Let the fish tell you what they want.- skip casting
I use mostly spinning gear except for jigs.....5.4 M and 6.6 MH. Weightless Senkos most of the time- How much do you spend
I really don't know ( I don't want to know ). It hasn't been $0.0 for as long as I can remember. I also can't remember how much was last month...I do know so that this month is already > $ 400.00 :'(- senko hooks ???
Daiichii Fat Gap ( red) 3/0 and 4/0 with the 4" and 5" respectively, with T-rig. Daiichii Wacky Hook ( red ) 2/0 with O-ring- Favorite Senko Colors
I use the same that has been mentioned, adding Clear water: Pumkin ( Orange) w/ black and green, 196 Murky water: Bubblegum, 229- swivels
Same for me....no swivels but in C-rig- Generally speaking........
South Jersey. I fish shallow murky waters 90 %, < 10 f., narrow chanels with heavy cover, almost always Lilly pad patches, shadows from falling trees and wood outside the pads are always places to find fish ambushing bait, exception may be this time when they are committed to spawn. Tops of the pads and holes in between them will be next in turn.- Which Bass Fishing Magazines do You Read?
Bassin by far the best- split shot rig
T-rig Senkos....1/16-1/4 and 6-10" from the hook. Colors have nothing to do with this presentation, wind and cover make me use it- do you prefer to fish alone?
50/50 for me, I fish with my club and with other dedicated guys from my regional forum, in addition of my partner in buddy tourneys, in my area is more the rule that I know someone in most of the lakes that I usually go. I can't do it with the occasional fisherman and my family doesn't care about fishing at all. It is just the time for fishing is for me to valuable. - How much do you spend
