  1. definatly watching it, good show! and is charlie a professional fisherman/does he still fish tournies?
  2. oh yea if i was only going to get a him baitcaster i would get him one so i could put all my 200$ towards it, i couldn't imagine using a 50$ baitcaster..
  3. i have never used braid but i think people use leaders for 2 reasons, so the fish cant see it and then so if the get a snag the leader will break off and they wont loose a ton of line, but im not sure.
  4. the lakes around me which are like huge ponds get like chocolate milk, you cant see 6 inch downs but im sure you can catch something in it when its like that. for you if they dont get choco milk i would def fish them
  5. i tried to talk my dad into getting a baitcaster but he remembers the backlashes from them when he was a kid lol
  6. ive never fished after the rain, i wait a couple days for them to get back to normal clarity, just never had much interest in fishing in chocolate milk but i know people who do it. Probably something that makes alot of noise and has alot of water displacement. goo luck, im sure you'll get better answers than mine LOL
  7. im looking into getting a couple spinning combos for bass for me and my dad and they are about 50$ a piece. Has anyone ever used these? i know they aren't top of the line, i would by a really nice one if i was only buying one but i'm buying a couple. Are these worth it?
  8. try yum dingers, if im not mistaken there as cheap or cheaper and i honestly think they perform as well as senkos.
  9. yea there can be alot of rapids up there
  10. probably finesse worms and senkos, also roostertails. I live in Pittsburgh too, where do you fish locally?
  11. the buzz bait is the only type of lure i don't own!!! lol i was already thinking of buying one for this season. suggest one of your favorites and ill see if my store has one.
  12. ok the lakes i fish, could be called big ponds. they arent very big. one of them where there are big bass is about 300 yards long and about 100 wide. It has an island out into the lake about 20 yards of shore with a walkway were everyone seems to fish. I usually fish by the dam and by fallen trees, almost never on the island cause they are a million carp/bass fisherman. If bass are highly pressured should i use plastics? i wanted to try cranks this year but if its high pressure lake i dont know if they'd take it. Oh and i fish off the shore so i can not tell underwater structure. So it'd be cool if you guys could give me some help
  13. lol guys all i use is roostertails and panther martins! they produce nice fish.
  14. i use my 6'6" med fast for everything! lol. i fish from the bank and carrying a tackle box, thats enough for me. i tried bringing more than one rod and let me tell you, it is a pain!!!
  15. yea my rod was only like 20 but i matched it with like a 60 dollar reel. it got alot of use before i got my baitcaster, i was landing 3 lb largemouth on it! it was so fun i might just have to bring it w/ me bass fishing again. they couldnt resist my little trout rooster tails!
  16. nope, since i learned on a spinning reel i though it was supposed to be the same with it on the left, but i learned that people cast and reel w/ the same hand and i thought it was weird, so all i use i lefty baitcasters
  17. Smallmouth bass LOVE that worm. lol thank god! i was planning on using them for that reason, thats really good to know!
  18. i got a pack of luck e strike french frie worms, havent use them yet
  19. actually ive never drop shotted. am i gonna have to buy drop shot weights offline or will my local sporting goods stores have them
  20. thats the name, i also bought some wacky jacks
  21. they are Case Plastics
  22. i got these soft plastics, about 4 inches long and i dont know how to rig them. i try texas rigging but didnt get action with the tail like i wanted. would you just put a jig head on these or maybe drop shot them? i dont really know but what ever you think would work im ready to try. thanks
  23. inlines will catch you small mouth all day long. I like the 3/8 white roostertail for smallies. i also have some mepps and blue fox inlines. Jointed rapalas will catch you alot of walleye
  24. fishing city limits, Icanelli relates to people who dont have lakes/rivers that produce 6 pounds fish. Good show
  25. im getting ready for trout and have about 40 spinners i use and some very small rapalas, i always use these and want to try other lures. But are there any other lures for trout? it seems to me either spinners, rapalas, or live bait! but any suggestions on lures i could try?
