He said tomorrow is the day to be there out of the year. they will be spawning all through out the sandy flats. Him and i were very disapointed i couldnt go, i got like 3 or 4 finals to work on for school ..... have fun

  6. yep everyone on the forum said it was a trout, some said unusual patterns to. Thats a catch of a lifetime! you getting it mounted?
  7. that looks like a tiger trout now that you say it. i could post this on a trout forum i am on and see what the guys say if you like. Alot of them are from the Lehigh Valley and if you caught it out of little lehigh they could tell you what they stock there and what they think it is etc.
  8. i didnt want to be the only one who said that it looks like a brown too.... but i honestly think it is. there is no orange or redish light colored belly. brookies also have lighter colored spots, usaully light yellow or orange, these are black.
  9. wow nice fish. well i would say your storing it the best way you possible can. But i have noticed all trout loose the colors about an hour after there dead anyway you store them. you catch that on little lehigh creek? fly fishing or spinning outfit? good job regardless!
  10. trickworm (red shad) rage baby craw (okochobee) baby brush hog (watermelon candy)
  11. it was basically a big pond. You probably wouldn't know it but its pine park lake. my main lake has been drained for 2 years now. they are digging it out and putting in structure. thats north park lake.
  12. almost all days are in the 60-70's
  13. since i didnt have school today due to a school board election i head out to one of my favorite small lakes. I was flippin a rage craw on a jighead and picked up one, after about 30 minutes of not getting another i switched to my spinning outfit that had a weightless trigged trickworm in red shad color. I was just fishing it parallel to the bank picking up fish after fish on their beds. Got some nice sized ones, most were about 2 lbs, some under some over a tad but it was a fun fight on the my ML. that subtle horizontal fall really got them today, maybe on my lake it will out-fish the senko here are pictures of some of the fish i caught. feels good to get back in bass fishing, ive been trout fishing for the past couple months so boy it feels good to land a bucket mouth.
  14. yea they were hitting them like crazy
  15. lol well my name is billy mays. when ever i am flipping through the channels though i always get caught up watching stupid infomercials, i dont know how but i do and then i end up missing what ever i was going to watch

  17. whoops forgot to attach the pic
  18. my dad and i were fishing in NW PA on some of his favorite mountain streams. It hadnt been 20 years since he last fished it and caught only 1 or 2 native trout, most were stocked. But we went up this weekend to a remote part of the stream. I must have caught atleast 30 natives on small rapalas, roostertails, and night crawlers. It was an awesome time. I only took one pic of the biggest native of the day. It was a great time and good to know that the trout are back to living and reproducing in this stream!
  19. i have a cardinal 300ui. i love that reel. i use it for trout fishing and the occasional bass on the ultralight. good reel. i would definatly buy it
  20. anyone in the PA ever fish the mahonning for SMB? i was there today. Its supposed to be a great place to fish for them. There is also a ton of trout, musky, pike, and panfish. anybody have some good spots or tips about fishing it?
  21. Hey guys just saw this thing on youtube called a blitzball, its a plastic like baseball but has many flat sides. This thing can be thrown easily and you can throw nasty curves, screwballs, sliders, and many more! have it just for fun or practice with the kids helping them hit curveballs. i will definatly be getting one. check out this video. you can purchase one on collegehillgames.com video link --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An6Tb5OgLkc
  22. gary yamamoto senkos have a motion that most other brands cant replicate, but for the price sometime ill just get some yum dingers
  23. get some roostertails, some rapala jointed j11's. even though they are big you catch trout on them, good size ones even small ones too. We caught alot of 11-13" er's on them too. Also even though you might not be much of a live bait fisherman, im not myself but when the lures arent working i usually get a small strike indicator (Fly fishing "bobbers", i use thingamabobbers) and put a small split shot on and a 10 size hook, put some red worms or maggots on those and drift them in some pocket water and sloft drifts. have fun put up some pics of how you do!
  24. exactly what i was wondering! i guess he got into a scrap at the hatchery a while back LOL
