A fishing buddy told me that Suzuki and Ranger were teaming up. Don't know if this is true but the OB wars in the near future could be interesting. But personally, I don't like the idea of having to get a certain motor with a certain boat.
I am looking at a couple of boats from T&S Marine in Gainesville Ga. These are used boats and i know they do handle repos. Has anyone had or known anyone to do business with T&S and if so, how was it?
Better than average year with quiet a few in the 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 range. Very rough summer here in Ga due to sweat and gnat factor. Largest boated was a 5 lb. Hooked a very nice one in the fall (fishing partner swears it would go 8) and had it spit the spinnerbait out at me right at the boat. Very sickening feeling. Partner and I fished nearly every trip this past year like a tourney in that we are going to fish FLW and club tourneys next year.
BPS has a couple of good gloves on sale in their Christmas catalog. Put in an order to Santa, whick I beilieve is in business with the bait monkey. Each pair is less than $10 and I already have the XPS gloves.
Trailer hooks and SHARP hooks. I use a spinnerbait rod and back off the drag with Trilene 12 lb mono. Works great. But once hooking, don't try to overpower. Did that this fall and had a nice 7-8 lb spit it back at me about 6' from the boat. Messed me up for a hour. think I tried to power it and tore the hook set in the jaw more. then the fish run at me and got some loose line.
Went back to the plastic worm alot more this past year and had very good success. Had forgotten how much i missed it and plus got my patience and feel back This year going to work on worms (T and C rig), senkos, and jerkbaits more.
BPS advetised the XPS bibs and jacket for 119.93 each until 12/4 at the store in Lawrenceville, Ga. They are regular 189.99. Not quite as heavy weight as the 100mph XPS but good for N Ga fishing in the winter.
