There are plenty of shore fishing in DC. DC licence is pretty cheap for year (12 bucks) For me in the spring and summer time, I tend to fish at the Theodore Roosevelt Island which is a good spot to start your addiction. I once bought a Falcon Bucoo Micro Guide Casting Rod 7' Medium for $29.99 bucks. (Retail at $119) I knew there was a mistake on it but I wanted to see if this would go though the casher. This guy looked at rod and looked at me with a long pause.... Said "This doesn't look right....this rod looks ....like but whatever...." and rang it up. 4 years later - it still my square bill cranking rod with Abu Garcia Wrench.

Was looking at several YouTube videos on swimbaits. I have this Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 6600 C4 (Made in Sweden) that been sitting on the desk of mine for a while. Originally, got this for catfishing which I have caught some big ones (45+ lbs.) Every time I turn or crank it. It would give this grinding feeling. I do not have this problem with others reels that I have maintenance for the last few years. I have taken this apart, put it back together and grease the crap out of it and put bearing oil, Reel Oil and grease. It still comes out same way. I have looked at the gears which showing no marks or stretch. I am just stumped at this moment. I don’t think it’s the bearings which has nothing to do with the grinding feeling. I have follow the schematic to perfection. It doesnt do for it at all. I must have taken it apart like over 30 times and no luck. However, there is a problem that I can’t detect easily since I am not able to hear (Profoundly Deaf) to find the culprit of the issue. But I can feel it. I’m not sure if it’s the gear or I’m just plain “stupid”. Should I just pony up the dough and have someone can detect it and fix the problem at the spot or spend the dough on the new main/pivot gear (ereplacementpart) for 35 bucks. I don’t want to ship to someone then it comes back the same. Your advice ?

This year Mojo bass has the same blanks as the AVID X or Avid The differeance is the price range of the parts - I would get the Mojo Bass since I like to have Braid Line (15lbs) with 10lbs FC line (6 feet). the Guide is soo tiny on the Avid X unless I go "Straight" 10lbs FC Line.

I got the Buff, Cabelas' Guidewear and SA. Cabalas Guidewear/SA get my vote. The SA that I alwasy wear has the Califorina Flag on it. I have the "Rebel" but I refuse to wear in this town since everyone is so "ISM" lately.

Am Looking to replace two reels on my spinning set up. I have been going back and forth on those two size. I wanted to get the 9530 Patriarch but should I be looking at 9535 ? It will go on my Mojo Bass M/F Rod and Carbonlite 7'2 M/F Rod. is the 9535 as the same size as 2500 ? Im thinking of getting both and put the 9535 on Mojo and 9530 on CarbonLite but wanted to hear from you guys before pulling the trigger on it. Thanks

I love what you did with this rod ..I just wish I had one of those handle, where did you get that from ? if you dont mind..how much was the whole set up ?
