  1. That happens to my favorite wacky rod (BPS CarbonLite 6'8 M/XF). That rod was my bass slayer ... I just stood there ...for a good moment ...until I launched out the colorful words but on the bright side, I got the St. Croix LTB in 6'8 M/XF ...
  2. You are not the only one... I have noticed it and I'm sure that the site administrator will be looking into this. They should be looking at the logs and contact their host provider to see what can be improved.
  3. AMEN ! - you should see the other thread that I posted ranting about the "Colorful Rods"
  4. I thought I made a killing at $35 bucks for the same exact model you got. That was like 6 years ago ! Great Job for having a good eye !
  5. Am considering getting one (Shimano Aldebaran 50 from Japan) for the Gloomis NRX 803C JWR. Im trying to justify if I should make the switch from Curado 70XG or just leave it alone. The Monkey is getting on my back lately.
  6. Not gotta leave my NRX and Dobyns Champion Rods alone .....they are coming with me !
  7. Agree - I would have loved if they stayed with the NRX Level. I just cant fathom to fork over that much money for it. If I had a Rich Wife who just inheritance a lot of money, that would be a totally different story
  8. Amen ! Even those Shimano's Curado rod that is coming out based on the ICast. Those look way better !
  9. *Rant mode on* Did I tell you that I really hate WHITE RODS ? Just learned that Green is the New Black is the new fad from one of the company that is showing at the icast show. Why cant those rod builders just keep it simple like Black, Blue or Gray ..nothing else ? Its just like screaming for attention with those neon colors or whatever. Did I mention that I really hate WHITE RODS ? *rant mode off* Hope everyone had a great day
  10. Been using Trokar for my local tournaments. It has really improved my hookset ratio. It's known to rip the plastics but I rather to attempt a kidnap method . Once I get it, I love giving a "smooshie" kiss before releasing it back
  11. Simple and easy to read.... I totally dig that !
  12. Hammer + Rod + Reel = Problem solved ! Kidding aside, you shouldn't have a problem with that. Maybe try the opposite way. I had issue with my Castaway casting rod with one reel which didn't fit right. I just place in front first then back which was a perfect fix. Maybe that will do the trick
  13. I always use the San Diego knot for everything but braid line. Its just easier for me to tie. Braid, I use the palmor knot
  14. Am in the market for two reels (70 size) for my 6'6 Mojo Bass Jerkbait and 7' CarbonLite Heavy Rod for Flipping in nasty vegetation. I was planning to get two Curado 70HG (7.1.1) with 5 bearings ordered on the side. I know that there is a little difference difference between those two. That Scorpion 70 which I have been eyeing on is displaying that sexy color Should I just get my mind out of the gutter and just stick with the Curado 70 and add the 5 bearings (4 for handles and one in worm gear) and be a man since its cheaper
  15. Tell him to buy better glasses ...I can see with 10 lbs sufix 832 ghost braid line. The only color that i cant really see is green. Its like Rambo coming out of the mud wall. You cant really see the line until they start attacking your lure
  16. I'm better looking fellow than Ike ... Just that I cant catch fish like Ike ! he is amazing !
  17. I would love to do this way but its too much work ...It would better if I just have the bass take the lure
  18. Mine is set at Two on/Two off with dialed at 3 to 4 depending on the weight of the lure. I'm going to test out three off and one on when I get back in the states.
  19. I love them for muddy waters ...It makes it stand out for the bass to say: "Hey babe, haven't seen you in this area before"
  20. If you dont mind - where did you get your bearings. I was thinking of getting some from ebay. Like this: TRB RC 4x7x2.5mm Precision Ball Bearings ABEC 3 Rubber Seals (10) MR74-2RS-BU for $9.98 since I dont need Boca Bearings on those
  21. Thanks man - So I would need 5 of 4x7x2.5 bearing for each Curado 70 to add on. Two Bearings for each Handle (4 bearings ) and one on the worm gear Guess I got a project to do when I get back from Canada
  22. Worm Gear ? Did I miss something on that part ?
  23. Been using the 7' spinning St. Croix Mojo M/F with Pflueger Patriarch (9530) for that purpose. I have the Baitcaster Mojo M/F for Jerkbait/Topwater but I just cant get the good action on it. I need more practice since I get tired after 10 mins of it.
