  6. That cross pattern is the way I go ...I just feel more confidence in that. Without it, I lose my senko in the airborne !
  7. Speaking of quotes, When I was at UPS getting the quote. I asked him to let me look at the screen. The guy pulled the screen and let me take a peak. It was the cheapest he could find. When I was at FedEx. I asked the guy to let me look at it. I was able to get the price that I was willing to pay. But one thing that puzzled me at FedEx. Ground shipping (5 days) was 108 bucks, but two day shipping was $35. What the heck - I told him to pick the two day ! Really There is one ? I never knew that ...I should be on the mailing list !
  8. I kinda of told myself that this was the last time I will be shipping rods out. I was really appalled by that price...
  9. Holy Cow - Had to ship a rod out today. I used the same tube that TW shipped to me. Went to USPS - they couldn't accept it cuz it was too big (didn't understand that part) Went to UPS - was quoted for 119 buck shipped. I told them "Baloney, I am not paying that". Went to FedEx and gotten it shipped with two days shipping for 35 bucks. My beef is that why would UPS quote me that much ?
  10. that's what I tell myself every 5 years when I replace the kit. I tell myself that Its worth 70 bucks instead of my wife getting my inheritance money
  11. Thanks man, I am going to harbor freight to see if they have something there for me to do. Once I get to that point, I will reach out to you on PM to from there. Again, you rock

  13. Just have some chatterbait blades that I got from Barlow's Tackle. I was trying to bend it with the nose pliers but it's not turning out good. I was wondering if I should get two swivel pad locking pliers or 2-1/2 In. Table Swivel Vise. Just lock that up and bend it properly ? What do you guys use or recommendations that I should do that doesn't cost me a fortune ?

  16. always wear pants ! I always worn shorts until last year. I got poison ivy all over my legs and other parts that I cant mention on this forum. It was unpleasant experience for me.
  17. Just making a long term plan in case my wife wants to make the move in two years to the west coast. Since I am a frugal spender, and I like to build things. What Im seeing it should not be more than $90 bucks. Criteria: must hold up to 15 rods. 10 casting + 5 spinning rods It would need to be more than 8 feet due to some of them longer than 7'3 Items to get: 1) Transrack 7054900 Conduit Carrier 2) PVC Pipe (but what size ? ) 3) Flex Seal to "seal and protect" water going in if rain. If you guys have any ideas or suggestions that is better, Pleas fire away
  18. Around the Grass: Trokar Wacky Weedless Wide Gap Hook : 2/0 Owners Weedless Wacky Hook: 2/0 (prefer this since its bigger) Open field: Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap Hook 4/0

  21. Monkey bait wasn't bad this time: Less than $40 bucks
  22. Those Curado 70 just palms my hands perfectly, Just wish they have little bit deeper spool. However, Im considering getting the Curado K (CU200K) for chatterbait. Three Curado 70 (Flipping, Finesse and Texas Rig) One Scorpion 70. (Jerkbait) However, the most important thing is how it feels on your hands. Bring your rod to the store that has both of them. Try it and see how it feels. I switched over to almost all 50/70 on my arsenals. I own like 4 of the Curado 70, Two Shimano Core 50 MG7 and one Pro Qualifier at 5.4.1 (Cranking is not my fave but will do it if I gotta do it to win the tournament). Bottom line im trying to say is, check it out first. The only downfall is line cap: Curado K: 14lbs/110 yards Curado 70: 10lbs/105, 12lbs/85
  23. They have seen plenty of action .... Talk about combat experience !
  24. Not sure if they are having one for president day - you might wanna check on that day as it might one day sale Their sales tend to be on those Memorial day, Tax Stimulus , Fourth of July and Black Friday. Memorial Day and Black Friday are usually 20% off , 4th of July is 15%, and the tax sale is i think 10% off storewide.
