Looks like the idea speed is 6.2.1. I want something that is a small profile at 100/150 size. If I could use the 50 size. I would but I am afraid I would run out of line. Am thinking about the Curado K or Curado 200I 6.2.1 With few more bucks. I can move up to Chronarch CI4+.

Just received the Dobyns 736CB glass today and I couldnt be happy with it. I was going to pair it up with the Scoripin 70HG (7.2.1) but I am afraid that I wouldn't have much line on it. Not only that, It might be too fast for me. What ratio do you guys use to keep the bait at the strike range.

Same here ! I always check once in a while during the tournament. If I catch a bass, I check the line to make sure that there is no nicks on it. if not, Fire away and hope there is a monster waiting for ya.

Pro Qualifer is a good reel that I still have two of them. I am using 12 lbs line and could throw up to 30 yards without trying. Have you tried to play around with those ? Just make sure that you leave two UP and and four down Start it slow so that way you dont get a bird nest...then practice to increase your confidence. We ll have been there. (Example) How is your brake set up ? I tend to leave mine at 3 or 2 depending on the reel/line Im using.

I have been using the Sufix 832 Braided Line Ghost at 10lbs line. Its been great as I can watch the move knowing that something "took" it. If the line is green, I cant tell and i would have to based on "feel".

Bless your casting skills, you lucky dog Most of my snap is always at the connection between FC/Braid. I have tried so many knots but i think the guides are so small that it would just kaput ! I have switched to full braid or FC to make my life easier. Only on spinning reels which is more forgiving..

Hey Marylanders - Where can I find a rod builder nearby my house One of my rod is having issue with the locking the reel in. It's kinda of slipping. It appears that I would need to have the handle grip replaced as I tried the plumber tape to see if it would hold but nope. Want to have someone near PG or AA County so that I can bring it in and have it replaced.

I love the OG CarbonLite (black) rods. It just feels right and light. I have pulled up some big hawgs on it. I just wish that they would get rid of the white colors. That's the only reason why I'm a Dobyns fan
