  1. The other thing is that when I could see a bass take the bait when I was reeling it in, in some slightly clearer water, It looked like they were grabbing it with their lips and holding it that way. I was using Procure's Trophy bass scent
  2. Would a Berkley Cherrywood 7" Medium be ok?
  3. The thing is is that I landed some of the bass that did the same thing, and they were good fish, like 13 or 14 inches. Usually it was a TAP of TAP TAP and then the bass would run like crazy, But there must of been at LEAST 10-15 fish that spit it out in the more than 4 hours I was fishing. The Deeper fish did this, the shallow fish were literally choking on it
  4. Using a 6'6 Medium Denali Finesse rod with 6 pound P-Line Fluoroclear
  5. I was just using a little 2.5" Half of a Strike king zero on a 1/16th ounce jig head
  6. They were dropping it, it was either a THUMP, then gone, or a THUMP! THUMP! Then Gone
  7. I mean, most of the 25 bass I landed today were hooked right in the hard part on the side of their lip, or they were hooked in the tongue
  8. What do you do if its at the end of a long cast?
  9. I think its all about confidence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I'm considering trying it. I've been reading a blog/column by Ned Kehde on the in fisherman website and I want to try his half a Strike king zero on a 1/32 ounce jig head at a REALLY pressured lake about 30 minutes from my house that has CRYSTAL clear water and up to 50 feet deep, would 4 pound fluorocarbon help me or hurt me if I have a good drag? I just feel like since the lake gets pressured, the smaller the line=MORE bites. Any advice?
  11. Just went out, this was my biggest bass. Played it slow and landed it, I literally made a cast and it bit all the way across the pond!
  12. Ok, So I just did what JFrancho said, And my drag was moving at 1.5 pounds of pressure pulling on the line. So, does that mean it should be moving at 1.98 pounds? 1/3 x 6 = 1.98? I just got it to the drag pulling at 1.12-1.14 pounds of pressure, I'm using a Field and Stream $25 electronic scale
  13. How do you measure the poundage of your drag?
  14. Oh, I've been fishing it the last 2.5 years religously, a guy at Dick's got me hooked on it
  15. I'm using 6 pound P-Line floroclear
  16. What is the best way to fight a bass on 6 pound line with spinning gear in 10-20 feet of water with a medium action rod? How do you strip line off ( Iaconelli style) and keep pressure on the fish all at the same exact time?
  17. Do Largies and perch bite the same way?
  18. So, How do you guys do this? I went out today to a reservoir and Landed a 12-13 inch yellow perch within the first 15 minutes on a shakey head, it bit just like a bass, then my dad had 3 other bites he missed and I had 2 other bites as well, I was using 6 pound P-Line with my WaveSpin DHxL spinning reel. What do i do?
  19. Anyone ever catch anything on the Teeny Popper (Rebel)? Is it worth throwing in a tournament for a limit of keepers (15 inches)
  20. My Lure is a 7/8 ounce river2sea Tango prop (Double props), I've been using a 6'6 Medium rod with spinning gear and 10 pound test Trikene XL with a Pflueger Trion reel
  21. Anyone ever try fishing prop baits around hydrilla or coontail? What set up do you use? Also, here are a few more questions: - What set up gets you the farthest cast with a 7/16 ounce prop bait from shore to open water? Type of rod or line? I've been using 10 pound Trilene - What length rod works the best?
  22. How many days should I let the spot rest, went today and could only pluck one 10 incher off it on a dog walking bait
  23. I'm in MD, Its a pretty HUGE lake, not a reservor, but not a pond. None of the fish I've caught from there have had bloody tails or any signs of spawning, yet, I'm told the spawn is over, the water temp is at least in the 70s I think, Right infront, and adjacent to the cove you can hit the mai lake
  24. Ok, I went out to this lake Last Sunday on a buzzbait and caught 6, all on a buzzbait. Then I went today and worked my way up to the spot, its a small cove-like place right off the main lake, and threw several different topwaters and caught at least 12 of the 15 bass I caught today at that spot on Bright pink trick worms ( 1), Baby Pop-R (lost count how many), and caugt SEVERAL on a River2sea Tango prop as well as a KVD bluegill colored Sexy dawg in the spot, Most of my fish were 10-13 inches, But got 2 that were in the 1.5 to 2 pound range that were just covered in black spots, It looked like the bluegill had just finished spawning, there were a few bluegill left spawning though. This spot was no more than 1.5 feet deep and had some submerged logs. The bigger of the bass I caught had a pot belly stomach and I saw a TINY bluegill or pumpkinseed tail sticking out slightly from its gullet. My question is, how long will this spot hold up? Most of the fish caught were real light colored, none were to dark
  25. How do you guys retrieve it? When I was out today It kept diving and the blades werent spinning that I could see
