  1. I will be taking the family to Greers Ferry AR the first week of April 2011. My wife was being nice enough to pick a place where I could go bass fishing. Now it looks like my boat will not be coming with us. I'm hoping someone from the area might know where I can fish from the bank OR if someone has a back seat open I love to learn and meet new people. (I know this is pitiful, but I will beg to fish!!) If my boat does make the trip somehow would someone like to go with me and show me the lake? If a seat is empty in my boat then it is open to anyone to sit in. We will be staying at Fairfield Bay
  2. Everything. I.m ok with tex rigged plastics, and lip-less cranks, but need someone to teach me more versatility. This year I want to try drop shot and Carolina rig. But above all is flipping and pitching. None of my friends do it so no-one can show me how. :-?
  3. Thanks for the greetings. I live about 2 hours north and east of Kentucky/Barkley lake. I have fished Barkley a bit but not Kentucky much. I would love for someone to show me a little about Ky lake fishing. I hear it is a little different than Barkley. I do know some good spots on Barkley lake for Bass an gills if anyone is interested. I have a small Stratos 258 but hopefully will be selling it soon for a little cash. Anyways thanks again for the warm welcome. Clint
  4. Still a long way off, but, my employer might be sending me for training sometime after July to Jacksonville FL for 2 weeks at a time for a total of 6 weeks. I really want to fish for some of them big Florida large mouth bass while I there on the weekend and in the evenings. I'll have to buy a cheap rod and reel and might get to leave it at the hotel in between training sessions. Does anyone have advise on public fishing areas near Jacksonville on the eastern side of the St. Johns river? The St. Johns is making my mouth water looking at it and some of the feeder creeks on Google Earth . It looks like every inch of the St. Johns has private docks. :-/ Also any techniques as to how to fish/lures for a spinning set-up?? P.s I will be shore fishing and do not want to get eaten by gators. Or if anyone lives down there and needs a back seat filled I could pony up a little gas money for their generosity. Thanks in advance Clint
  5. Howdy all, This forum is already worth it. I saw the info about Dick's having a sale and scored a soft sided F&S tackle bag Reg. price 59.99 on sale 37.97 then 50%. Total $17. I'm also interested in the Ky lake drive-in. Only been bass fishing a couple of years. Looking forward to learning from you guys and gals.
