Anyone try these newer small sized pit bosses? What techniques do you think these will excel at? They aren't the most realistic looking bait and I've all ways been told normally you want to use smaller baits in clear water with less action which is the complete opposite of this bait.

It seems like every time I skip my Senko style bait under a dock, the hook point pops out and when I retrieve it back to the boat, I have to readjust the bait. I was wondering how you guys combat this inefficiency. I do usually use braid and skin hook texas rig, but do you guys just bury the hook point more so? If someone could show me a pic of how deep you skin hook, that would be much appreciated.

what hook does everyone use with this rig when making them? ive had trouble fitting a #3 split ring in the hooks line tie in hooks other than a 5/O. i just want to use a little smaller hook

Bass Pro is too worried about putting in what baits have 5 stars and what customers are saying about the baits to put in technical specs! What you can do is add to cart the items you want and at the shopping cart screen, save the file. you then simply open up the file and goes to your shopping cart with the saved items you added. You do have to click on "update" though to fix the screen so it looks normal. Works like a charm and is a simple fix to the no wish list.

So a brush hog on a football jig has been in the spotlight a couple times for the elite series. However I have never seen a picture of what jig head and how they are rigging it. What I'm wondering is if it's a shaky football jig or what. I would have no idea how to rig one up on a normal football jig with or without a weedguard. I like to use hula grub type baits for those heads but want to try this brush hog thing. I would think the brush hog would just be too thin to rig but I guess you just thread it on like a twin tail? Have you tried this? And what were your experiences?

over the years, from what i understand, they have changed formulations multiple times. when i first bought them 6+ years ago i'd get 20 to a pack. then they went to 18 a pack and made them a little softer with not as much action and slower sink rate in my opinion. since then, they have gone to a 16 pack with the new 8-up scent. havent bought the new ones yet but maybe that's why they are different to you?

The KVD frog wasn't marked as clearance. Before going in, I looked at DSG's website to see what they had on sale online and it seems it's the same as in store. Pretty excited DSG finally has a website where they sell fishing tackle not because I'll buy from them online but know what the price is before buying in store! Pumped to have gotten some Havoc baits for $1.50 at Dicks a couple days ago. I believe the sale ends 7/23 or something around there - it's 25% off clearanced priced items. The baits I got were Craw Fattys in Louisiana Bug, and Hawg Hawg in green pumpkin/blue and smokey green pumpkin. Never tried these baits but have good reviews...

try gander mountains. they are the cheapest and free shipping to boot! the action is just okay however, but is also scented. its weird, it says your ordering gander mountains brand but they sent me big bite baits.

I was wondering if I could replace with smaller hooks for use in freshwater without affecting action. I don't have confidence using those ugly stock silver saltwater hooks.

I have a saltwater version chugbug and dont like the shiny silver hooks. what happens if you downsize the hooks?

how deep do you fish the 1/4 oz.?
