  1. Hate to say it but I agree I like the citica better but for fighting fish I haven't backlashed with either though really. I like the handle on the citica better then the short stuby swept handle on the revo.
  2. I hear ya I started off with just 3 weights a 3/4 and 2 1/2oz weights I kicked my shoes off and got down to my skivies to get one snaged across a creek. Now I found them at dicks and stocked up I bought every pack they had. Check tackle warehouse also they have bulk weights for anywhere from 8.99 to 19.99 for bulk packs of tungsten weights.
  3. Go to your local dicks sporting goods I get TT weights for 1.99 a pack! True tungsten went outa business and there stuff is dirt cheat at DSG and gander mountain. I just started throwing tungsten and I can't imagine ever using anything else.
  4. I have #20 vanish for flipping on one rod and #50 power pro for fliping on another and I personaly like the flouro better for flipping and pitching. Maybe its me but braid gets hung up more and my rig just dangles. Where when I toss the flouro in there it seems to slide threw cover better. It does take some getting used to I supose and a well trained thumb for sure.
  5. Tubes I either let the current drift em on the bottom or drag/hop them back to me. The grubs I just put on a jig head and reel back with variang retrieve speed
  6. I should but I don't but i don't seem to have an issue sense I use #17 flouro and #50 braid
  7. My pb pike is only like 32 inches slightly bigger then those there I wanna get up in canada or the islands and get some monster pike and musky
  8. I heard they taste great ill probably cook one up this weekend
  9. What's the depth like in these spots u fish. I fish 2 rivers like this also but the dams arnt as big. I use a lot of jigs and tubes smallmouth being the main target. Iv also had a lot of luck using a rebel floating weecraw I think its called either way its a floating crawfish crank. I always target large rocks or bends where the waters deeper or calmer then the water surounding it. Washed up trees have always put out for me as well I caught my pb smallmouth off a big tree submerged in 4fow in a river. Draged a mini chatter bait up over it to see what looked like a bronze football apear behind it and bam 6lber on 6lb test. That reminded me chatter baits and good ole grubs are always fall backs in rivers for me they always work.
  10. Sounds like something my wife would do
  11. I know new yorks is all the same form but u fill out only half for the c&r award and more for the other 2
  12. Babys doing great he's getting fat put on 1.1lbs sense we brought him home he's a boob man lol. Iv actually gotten out quite a bit sense he's been born I went everyday on my way home from the hospital for the first week. I'm gonna try to get out tonight as well if the rain let's up a little. The citica I put it on an old tec spec I had I love it u can see it in the background of the one pike pic. I caught 2 pike and 1 bass on it yesterday. I def need a better rod for it though I use it for trigged craws and such just flipping ind pitching mostly and that tec spec is a 6'8 with a broke tip and its a MF so not the best for what I use it for but I'm in a pinch and making it work
  13. Id shoot 1000 rnds a match at times. But I hear ya on the tools the snap on guy loves me to much lol that charge is never paid off he keeps showing new cool tools
  14. Here's a few from back in the day I'm the one with a shaved head in the middle
  15. we used to just have to pay for practice paint at 40 a case. Hotels, entry, airfare, gear was all free and we bought our guns for what the shop got em at exept our free flows were free. It still got expensive because when not in a tournament or practicing we were usually at the field rec balling it or sandbaging local tournaments.
  16. Iv always draged them or worked like a jig throwing into holes looking for a bite. If ur near a river with good current tossing em and letting the river do its thing has paid big in smallmouth for me and requires no action on ur part just let it drift
  17. My boss johnny fillets them up taking the y bone out he brought me one today I may have to fry it up tonight
  18. I have a love hate for them they fight good but I got a gallon ziplock bag full of sliced up craws and space monkeys of urs.
  19. http://www.***.com/Tube_Baits/catpage-SBTUBE.html There's no dumb questions
  20. Well I went out to one of my honey holes last night only caught 2 bass sadly. The total count was 1 huge crappie 2 bass and maybe 20 pike I lost count of them toothy buggers. I called my boss from work he came out and jumped in the canoe to get in on the action sense he loves pike he kept a few. The bass came on a black with blue flake space monkey on a 1/4oz tungsten weight. Crappie came on a 9/16oz booyah spinner and the pike attacked everything that touched the water including the rage which got expensive. Well here's some pics enjoy
  21. Howed I know this thread was about paintball hahaha. I haven't played in 4 years. When I quit I was at my prime I made it to a pro team playing xball I had more gats then I knew what to do with. I want to start again but can't bring myself to drop the coin especially after some of the guns I had(free flow cockers shockers and matrixs, tippman effect 98,dm9, sp shockers, hybrid shockers) check out rochester rhythm, broklyn style, sodus precision on you tube them are all teams iv played for ryhthm is the old prol nppl team lockout with some new members mitch and rob were actually the only original old guys. I went to north carolina and tried out for trauma as well but just missed the cut but was awsome playing the greats like chris lasoya he signed my dm9 which I sold for buco money. Here's a pic of some of my guns I just dug up
  22. Iv never done it with dogs but we used to just drive around the orchards with the 4 wheeler and .17hmr and smoke them and fox. Once we spoted eyes we would kill the lights hop off and use a tree for a rest and use the primos spotlight mounted on the scope they never knew what hit em. Then there's also the old fashioned car lol
  23. Them are know fun at all I'm heading out now throwing the canoe on my lumina and scooting to the water.
  24. Not many people know where it is even if I say johnsons in lyndonville most maps don't even have lyndonville on it. Plus its in orleans county so u hear banjos around ever creek bend. however this part doesn't have trout in it just big pike bass and crappie they never built the fish steps back in the 80s so there's no trout or salmon past the dam. You should come check that spot out as well john if u get time its bout 5 to 10 minutes past the boat launch
  25. John I'm talking bout johnsons in lyndonville above the falls its a great spot for kayaks I just use my buddys canoe though lots of timber to fish
