Its not a pond its part of lake ontario I fish that u can't access with a boat unless ur skinny and have a jon boat my fat arse would make it sit to low in the water the canoe gets stuck in some spots till I'm in the channel

Hthe max depth is only 12ft tops and the crappie were in 3fow and the pike were on top it seemed but a few in one spot were hitting jigs on the bottom

Dang oh well lots of trial and error I guess. I'm just glad a lot of the grass died off now its all duck weed and lilly pads.

Is there anyway to tell if the water has developed a thermocline without electronics or diving in to see it. I'm going out tonight to one of my honey holes with the canoe and last time I went I couldent find bass to save my life everywhere I thought bass would be I found pike and crappie. So I'm wondering if there may be a thermo cline and and I was fishing empty waters below the fish.

J francho u called me at like the worst time yesterday about that but its all good lol. I was at my inlaws sitting out side with them and they like to put there .02 in on everything and there's no reasoning with them. At least u were able to get in on some good deals

When I fish jigs and plastics I usualy am hitting a specific target like the crotch of a tree in the water so I just pitch it in and wait a sec maybe reel in a little bit but for the most part I'm just probing looking for a strike. I don't crig so I can't help ya there.

Long casts I usually use for cranks,spinners,buzz baits,topwater. The short casts for like jigs and such where I just flip/pitch it into a hole twitch twich and bring back. Retrieve speed is dependant of water and the day I usually just slow roll or do the stop and go the most. Some times I give hard twitches like I'm setting the hook but that's usually to clear weeds or I think I got a bite and its not but will result in one from the sudden movment.

Haha yeah I just played it for the kid omg were still all laughing its prolie not gonna sound funny when I write it maybe u had to be there but here we go. So over the summer I work for the same school I teach for but work as a mover/lawn care guy. I have 3 college kids that work under me as "helpers". Well today we had a move come up now that summer school is over were moving classrooms around and what not. Well this one we moved today was for severely handi capped kids that need diapers and with diapers comes HUGE changing tables. Well this changing table had some poo on it. None of my crew wanted to touch the thing and we didn't have anything to wipe in off so I took the work order and slapped it over the poo smear so it was covered up. Well I ended up pushing this table that's 6' by 6' with 4 inches of rubber mat on it out of the room down the hall and out to our f550 stake body truck and with no help(though it was needed but that's where it gets funny) well I went to roll it up on the truck and right when I get it up on its side about eye level it starts to fall. Like in slow motion I see the paper fly off exposing the poo right when adam dives under it with both hands and his face right in the poo. Instantly carsons on the ground laughing and garret couldent have said it at a more perfict time " he's got the poo on him" which got us all rolling again. It was disgusting and hilarious all at the same time probably one of the funniest things that's happend all summer. Plus it couldent have happend to a better person cuz the kids a POS he's worthless when it comes to work but now we all keep saying he's got the poo on him in joe dirt voices. And in no means am I making fun of special ed kids but the teacher shoulda wiped the poo up befor packing and calling us to move it.

What movie is that from there like "he's got the poo on him" or " I got the poo on me" we just had a hilarious moment at work like literly roll on the floor funny and it involved poo. But we couldent think of the movie that saings from I think its joe dirt but not sure.

If I catch one there's usualy some one there running over to ask if ill keep it or they can have it. They love em sometimes u can get money to along with sheepshead. The only fish I keep are walleye there just to tasty to throwback lol

Nice my father inlaw has been looking at getting one to go with his sks. His new brilliant idea is in the new cheaper than dirt catalog the ak pistol I think its the draco or something he wants to see if he can't get that. I wouldent mind a ak that's for sure there a hell of a lot cheaper to go burn rounds compaired to an ar.

I took the display model for an additional 10% off I don't mind taking the display models if there in the glass case so people don't mess with them. I passed up the lures cuz wifey said lures and no reel or reel and no lures. I was only saving a few bucks on lures compaired to what $75 off the asking price of a citica. I need a diffrent rod for it hopfully some good rods are on sale.

Oh yeah he went for a little ride I was on a bridge 15ft above the water in that strong current spot so when I set the hook with that 7'6 mh veritas he came zinging outa there and smacked the bottom of the bridge

Make an out rigger for it and troll around riding it on the edge of the water......don't laugh I did it........I caught a sheeps head out of the erie canal as a kid doing it poor mans trolling

Went out this morning befor work sense I couldent come in till 7 instead of usual 6 so I went fishing for an hour. Nothing big but still a nice start to a busy day of moving tons of furniture and what ever other crap summer school teachers think they need. Caught them both on a black and blue 3/8th oz jig with a paca craw trailer.

Same goes for the gander mountain in tondawanda compaired to the one in roc its like apples and oranges and they always have good deals like true tungsten jigs are half off so like 3.50 a jig.

Long ways from home isn't it? Arnt u in perry I figured greece or henrietta would be closer. The galleria dsg is by far the best one in wny. How longs the sale any one know?

In the past month I think iv caught 1 on the frog and that was yesterday and I wasn't even fishing lol. I had the pole hanging over the edge of the canoe paddling out into the main body the scum frog was just over hanging on 2ft of slack like and bam a 14incher slams it I didn't even touch the pole just grabed him by the back pulling him in

If there out there out its no biggie my fishing season is almost over I leave for afghanistan in less then 3 months with tons of train up starting in september so just a few weeks left then I'm gonna be done till december of 2012 which is icefishing season here

That happens to me on slow days all the time I forget what a hit feels like and I go blank when I feel a strike then kick my self in the arse for not setting the hook
