My revo sx ain't finicky a bit I have it spooled with vanish 17lb on a veritas set it once when I got it with just a little pressure on the spool that's it and I throw every weight under the sun without an issue and for a mile. I kept reading bout them being finicky but I haven't experienced it yet

I was seriously thinking bout buying it till I seen it won't be in to late fall and by then I will be over seas so maybe when I return next year. That way they have been on the market kinks worked out possibly cheaper and I will have money for several if I want.

Id move up to the veritas as well I have a 76MHF with a revo stx light as a feather I throw it all day with no problem

Yup its pretty universal if I'm to lazy to tie a frog I can throw it in the mats and drag it like a frog if they miss let it die and settle to the bottom they don't miss a 2nd time. They were my go to last year I never went a day without fish last year because of the zoom super fluke. When all else failed it prevailed id go from no fish to fish almost everycast when I switched. This year it hasn't been that good to me its been good but not great.

I use zoom super fluke in these colors in this order Smokin shad White pearl Baby bass All get a treatment of mega strike as well. Its my go to bait weightless superfluke or with a 1/16th oz keel weighted hook

I was suffering withdrawls as well I spend my breaks on the forums and yesterday I was sitting in buffalo general hospital for 8 hrs and the site was down it made for a very long day

I ended up going above the falls in lyndonville it was a good choice bass everywhere don't think we caught one under 2lbs they wanted it slow wacky senkos in the timber were our ticket with a few nailing rage bama craws trigged slowly draged over the farthest branch. They ignored the craw in the thick stuff but if pitched to the farthest branch in the water like one lone branch they would nail it and hard to . Think a few might of been pike because id break off or id bring a clawless holy craw back waded up on the hook

Wow I didn't even think of shinners me and my childhood buddy used to cast net them suckers all the time for catfish and pike bait. There all over here in new york some get big like that one along with alewife

O I was thinking the same man if me and my sister had them we woulda killed eachother she used to chase me with a regular claw hammer trying to hit me never did how ever I was faster and nimble back in the day. I know my son would love one of those to but my walls and furniture cat u name it wouldent but he's 2 sooooo haha. Islandbass those are very cool though I love working with wood and fabricating cool things and toys. As long as ur kids arnt destructive like me and my sister were. If your son ever gets into cars you will have to do the importance of math there as well I hated math thought it was "usless" as well then went to college and started building engines and all that math came back especialy when figuring out what's the best turbo for your engine and rpm u want it to perform at.

I hate nightcrawlers the sunfish and gobies rob me to much with them things. Hopefully Friday night isn't a rainy night and I can get out I just remembered my nephews graduation is Friday so that may speed bump in my plans but maybe not

Yeah it gets brutal up here in the winter for the steelhead run and salmon cold driving rain/sleet and snow the rest of the time. Much of why I stoped steelie fishing not that sitting in a open field with a rifle and coyote call are much better with the wind blowing in your face new york sucks.

Definitly heavy or mh rods for sure I've landed a few on light and med rods because that's all I took with me but its a pain and frustrating when u can't get the fish in because your wraped around a lilly pad or cat tails. 50 or better braid is also a must

The guy in japan that got the world record on his gill I think I read that he says he cuts off there dorsal fin so its easier for the bass to swallow and incresses hooking the fish no pointy spines in the way.

My vote would be the lake iv always wanted to try it but 1 its illegal here and 2 the big gals are to sparse here in ny I do find em every year but not enough to waste a day trying it to maybe catch one. I have 1 spot I know there's good numbers of big bass and pike but like said its illegal here in ny.

In my experience yes iv caught a lot of 4+ bass in with dinks but there usually stingier towards your presentation. Last year I was fishing a bunch of beds in a cove and there was a 5lb female cruising around all over the spot it wouldent hit anything id throw shakey head after shakey head at her with no luck but caught ever bedded fish in there trying to get the big girl to bite. Jigs didn't work t rigs didn't work spinners cranks u name it nothing. Then I threw a luck e strike floating worm from walmart weightless out there it looks like a snake when twitched and she nailed it when it coiled up on a lilly pad. These worms are the most basic pos things u could buy to but they look like a live night crawler when laying there motionless. And there been other times where its dink after dink till whoa that ones bigger u say to ur self

Roc I did the same when a teen to the same sign on the 390 ever notice there's a dicks right next to the bjs in a lot of spots my wife pointed that out one trip I started laughing
