  1. Thanks Glenn!
  2. Hope everything moves forward for! Congrats!!
  3. I have the BB-1 and every time I fish it I am amazed!
  4. They look great! Have fun!
  5. Use of nets is one difference also I know FLW allows the Alabama rig where B.A.S.S. does not. As far as talent I think they are evenly matched and maybe FLW has a small edge! I think they just show some of the mistakes more than B.A.S.S. does!
  6. Thank you for all the help so far! Roland point does look good, to the left of there alot of guys fish that I know the grass comes way out in that location. I enjoyed the nail weighted worm thread it looks very interesting! I am unable to prefish so trying to get a game plan together before I go so I don't waste too much time jumping around. The hump located almost in the middle of the lake also looks good but to the left of there the flat comes way out before dropping into 40+ feet, that also has caught my attention! Thanks guys and if anyone sees something we may have missed please chime in!
  7. Yes it is for a club tourney. The lake is 72 feet deep and 925 acres!
  8. This maybe a little off, but throwing those baits I would consider an Abu 5500 c3! I don't know if you want a low profile or not but that reel will handle any spinnerbait, crankbait or any other lure you decide to throw. It will cast a mile and is UNDER your budget! Quality is there for life and you can take the extra money and put it into something else! Please do not under estimate these reels because of their price!
  9. Hey all, I need a little help finding some bigger fish in this lake. I fished it last year and did fairly well but I fished it earlier in June. This time of year everyone says you have to fish the offshore humps to catch the big ones! This lake has some monster smallies along with lots of quality largemouth. The map below is the only one I can find anywhere on this lake. The lake has lots of grass and we caught most of the fish dropshoting the edges of the grass in about 12-16 fow. So my question is where would you fish? This is a natural lake and has lots of rock along with the grass. Sorry about the map but that is all I could find. Please everyone chime in all suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Also, this lake gets alot of boat traffic. I don't know if that matters because I try not to let it bother me. Last year we caught most of our fish between Oakland beach and the terry bar, located bottom right side of the map. But we only fished the edges in 12-16 fow in that location.
  10. If you are going to try and dropshot them I would use a heavier weight. At least a half ounce! You need to get through and a 1/4 might not get it done. A heavy weight is better IMO anyway because when it slides through and down they may react to that!
  11. I use size 1 and for small lakes without a lot of wind I use 1/8 or you can move up to 1/4 if you feel the need to! The whole purpose is you want to be on the bottom the whole time. I would also recommend getting the vmc dropshot hook. It is easy to tie and will save you on line twist.
  12. Just saw on there that the new stradic ci4 fa has x-ship!! Awesome can't believe bass pro would put these on their website before icast!
  13. Nice fish! Sounds like you should have tried swimming the jig a little more!
  14. Thanks! The largemouth were nice but the main lake smallies is just unbelievable! I would hook one and think it was a giant but turn out to be just 16"...lol. My son did have a pig get off on Saturday, don't know how big but it was over 4#.
  15. Thanks! It is a awesome place but very humbling when the wind picks up!
  16. Last fish touched at lake Erie this year! Also we were able to release all of our fish alive and well! Fizzing them as soon as we catch them makes a huge difference!
  17. Today second day! Not quite as big but we manage a limit and withstood the 4-5 footers! Only four teams caught a limit today!
  18. First day of the tournament. He caught both of those! He carried us the first day!
  19. Another in between storms!
  20. Another nice one.
  21. His first main lake smallie!
