  1. I just got done shoveling for the 2nd time today.
  2. I think this is a bonus feature that most people on BR don't realize they can get FOR FREE!!!
  3. For the best free bass fishing newsletter? http://www.bassresource.com/newsletter/?p=subscribe&id=1
  4. You guys crack me up. Not much snow in our forecast for the weekend (just a little more Saturday) but I heard today that our HIGH temp for Monday will be -10 (not including wind chill) and the low will be -18. Only 4 more months until the water is soft again up here. lol
  5. We got another 4" or so today. On top of what we already had so everything in sight is covered in snow which is pretty to look at. I don't mind the snow but the crazy cold temperatures are what I hate. Tomorrow night our low (without the wind chill factored in) is supposed to be -18. They are calling for highs around the 1 degree mark from Friday until the end of next week and lows below 0 every night. Our winters generally last until March (sometimes much later). I remember about 12 years ago getting 12" of snow in April. That really sucks because by then all I want to do is catch bass.
  6. While out shoveling snow once again today I began to wonder how many of my friends in the south even own snow shovels? I personally have 3 different types: The Pusher - Which I use like a mini snow plow. The Scooper - Which I use when the snow is to wet and heavy to push. The Scraper - Which is my flatter metal one that I use to scrape the stuff that's really packed on my driveway. lol So now you know what I do and think when our lakes are frozen and I can't Bass fish.
  7. I finally got a chance to watch this and it is pretty cool. Looks like a fun idea for a tournament.
  8. Thank you It is really amazing how important small things can be to our overall performance.
  9. this new article on the Home Page? http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/Bagwell/fishing-exercise.html
  10. Thanks for the info. It was -5 degrees here today so I should have plenty of time to sit in the house and watch fishing shows.
  11. Siebert Outdoors Elite jig with a Yamamoto Craw (black and blue) with a dab of MegaStrike on it.
  12. I am very competitive, even when fishing a lone so I always expect a lot out of myself. Sometimes I feel like I am an odd dude because I will refuse to leave until I have X number of bass or I will fish a certain bait for a long time, even if I know it isn't idea for the conditions, just because I think certain baits are more fun (i.e. Frogs).
  13. I remember having that Fish Formula stuff in Game Fish and Worm scent. I swore by it as a kid. The down side is it was so stinking messy and didn't stay on the bait long. I am like everyone else here. I use Megastrike and have for probably going on 10 years (or however long Bobby has been selling it). FLW Pro Dave Lefebre is the person that got me trying it before he was a big name on the tour.
  14. So you have to pay per episode? I watch a lot of shows but I can't remember if I have ever seen this one. My dvr gets loaded up by the end of fishing season.
  15. I was actually introduced to SiebertOutdoors.com jigs by the forum members here and another site. It is a good thing that I am not too hard headed to listen all of the time because they are awesome jigs. Best jigs that I have ever used.
  16. 1. Fish Lakes/Rivers that have what it takes to hold big fish to begin with (i.e. a 1 acre farm pond probably won't have many big fish) 2. Fish off shore structure 3. Throw big baits (Yes I know small baits catch big fish too)
  17. Amazing how many people have viewed this thread. I love this site.
  18. I have added 2 things to my fitness routine Powermax1000 which is a weight gainer from Max Muscle that I take 1/2 serving as a meal replacement and also snow shoveling. LOL
  19. How's it going guys? I am still plugging away on my nutrition/workout program. I have not got my body fat checked in a month or so but I can tell that I am getting leaner. Anyone that tells you that being in good shape won't help you on the water is just wrong. Obviously it is not going to make you a better caster, boat driver or decision maker but for a person that already has those skills, adding an in shape body to that will improve your game.
  20. I am going to order some more Wiley X glasses next week. The P-17 is coming out in gunmetal color and they look cool. They still have the same great stuff as all of the other Wiley X glasses, (polarization, 100% UV filter and impact resistant frames/lenses) so I know I am getting quality but I am getting these because they look good and fit great.
  21. This is a repost since the first one got deleted when the system crashed. As BassResource.com members, many of us have used jigs from one our best board sponsors, Siebert Outdoors. Tell us about your biggest fish, best day, tournament wins, craziest catch or whatever while using a Siebert Outdoors jig. Come on, it is cold here and I need something to read. Me personally, I have caught several big fish on both the elite jigs and the Bloody Shad swim jigs. Some fish hit that swim jig so hard it feels like the rod will get yanked into the water.
  22. Wow I am gone for a few days and this thread goes crazy. lol Very interesting opinions (as I assumed there would be). Keep it going.
