  1. Sounds like you had a pretty interesting time. JT Bagwell
  2. Did you have big speaking roles, minor roles or work as an extra? In other words, if we watched them could we easily see you? JT Bagwell
  3. I just heard 3-4 weeks from a dealer last saturday when I went to look at a new Triton with my buddy. JT Bagwell
  4. Nick, I would agree that maybe the boats are a little costly, but to say a top brand boats like Triton, Ranger, Skeeter, etc are not going to have a quality outboard, electronics and trolling motor is just absurd. The anglers that can afford to run these boats are clearly going to put quality components in them. I am not going to run a Triton that costs $42,000 and have a piece of junk trolling motor or clearance rack electronics. There might be some anglers that do that, but they are a limited number. 5. Nick, What in the world are you talking about? Name brand boats don't have as many attributes as no-name brands? Come on now. JT Bagwell
  6. Not to get off topic, but Squid, what movies or shows were you in when you were acting? JT Bagwell
  7. I think a lot of the ride depends on the skill level of the driver. For some people, they might be able to handle a low end boat like a Nitro and not be able to get a high performance boat like a Triton over 60mph. High performance boats (Allison, Gambler, Triton, Bullet, etc) are built for speed and as a result they require more practice to properly drive. This is not the case with Skeeter, Ranger, Nitro and other brands. These boats have very little (if any) chine walk and they are simple to drive. JT Bagwell
  8. LOL Weird is right. JT Bagwell
  9. I have the phone numbers and email addresses for almost everyone mentioned, but the only autograph I have is from Woo. I got that one when I was about 12. A lot of those guys I happen to know and I might feel odd asking for their autograph. JT Bagwell
  10. The opposite of the 32.9 degrees and snow that I am getting right now. :'( This weather SUCKS. > JT Bagwell
  11. LMAO @ RiverBass Now that was funny. ;D Sadly I must agree. JT Bagwell
  12. That is a practice that I am seeing more and more. I guess it keeps the number of applicants way down. I haven't seen any big companies using this strategy, but several smaller ones have adopted it. JT Bagwell
  13. I have both on my boat and wouldn't have it any other way. The Hotfoot is not very expensive. You can have one put on your boat for $100 or less. Jackplates help reach the optimal level of speed and performance available from your boat. JT Bagwell
  14. Triton TR20PD Mercury Optimax Minn Kota Maxxum JT Bagwell
  15. Thank You Very Much FlippnFish ;D JT Bagwell
  16. I am left handed and use all right handed reels. It started because when I was little it was tough to find left handed reels. So basically I grew up using right handed reels. JT Bagwell
  17. I have a little 12' boat that I use only for fishing at my uncle's private lake. I was jacking around in that little thing and my foot slipped and I just about went over the side. The only thing that got wet was my foot. I never realized how much water a size 10 Nike would hold. ;D Last year during a tournament my Co-Angler bent down to push my boat away from a piece of a tree as we trolled past it. You guessed it, the branch broke and she spun around and landed in the Mississippi River. For about 1/2 a second it scared the crap out of me, but when I saw that she was ok I laughed my butt off. The bad thing was it was pretty chilly out that and she was soaked. Being kind of the Smart A** that I am sometimes, I told her to look at the bright side. She said, "what is that?" I told her that she was riding in a 75mph blow dryer and we were about to go for a 20 mile run. lol She didn't find as much humor in that as I did. JT Bagwell
  18. LOL That's funny because I do that all of the time. (If I am understanding you right anyway) Did the guy hold the line in one hand and kind of drop the rod with the other hand? If so, that is how I do it in shallow water. You actually stop it before the reel gets to the water. It works really well, but it is horrible on rod tips. JT Bagwell Ps: There have been a few times that I have almost lost rods too. lol
  19. I think my most common statement (especially in tournaments) is "Thank You Lord." ;D JT Bagwell
  20. Each year most athletes try to make adjustments to their game with hopes of improving performance. Bass Anglers are no different. What is ONE thing you plan to make an adjustment too this season to increase your level of performance? I think my biggest change will be in the amount of tackle in my boat. Last year I started to notice that I had way too much. It became a pain trying to sort through hundreds of bags of Senkos just to find one specific color. JT Bagwell
  21. Another variation of this technique is to set the butt of the rod on the deck of the boat (between your feet). With the rod standing vertical, take one hand and hold the line a foot or two down from the tip of the rod. With the other hand pull back on the line at about waist level. Once you have pulled it back as far as you can, let it go in a quick snapping motion. Although this variation is very similar to ones mentioned above, it puts less stress on the rod itself. JT Bagwell
  22. Thank you Nick. JT Bagwell
  23. Squid, Good thing I didn't decide to have a promo for the 1,500th subscriber. We already passed that. As of my last report from my web guy it was up to 1,700. 700 new subscribers in 2 days, that's just nuts. JT Bagwell
  24. Wade, Hold off for a day or so. I am going to ask the head chemist (my wife's 2nd cousin) at the Valspar plant near my home. Valspar is one of the biggest paint manufactures in the world. They make the paint they use on MTV's "Pimp my Ride." It is also probably the brand you saw at Lowe's. I will get back with you. JT Bagwell
  25. After you get a limit, start using Big Fish Baits. Jigs and Giant Worms are awesome for kicker fish. JT Bagwell
