superglue. rig you bait up up like you want. then slide the nose down add a few drops and put it back.
  2. lets see: hooks, weights and swivels worms shaky head/ drop shot (tackle and plastic i like for those) jigs/trailers rattletraps buzz and spinner baits lizards and creatures soft minnow baits(flukes, swimbait) jerk baits crank baits/top water pan fishing
  3. got a few questions if there is no current and wind out of the north what zone would plankton mostly like the stack up in? if current was flowing south and the wind was out of the west where would you look?
  4. what i have gathered from alot of reading water is much more stable than air so its takes awhile to drop its temp. whats hits the fish instantly is barometric pressure. they feed harder as it drops(pre-front) then feed very little when it bottoms out and climbs back to normal.
  5. might drop your own cover in if you dont find anything.
  6. i like the big bites kriet tale
  7. im reading up on jigs in hopes of mastering them this year. in almost all conversations the trailers mentioned are the very realistic crawfish imitations. i have gotten some of those to try. i also was given a few bags of the classic powerbait chunk trailers.i dont think they even make them anymore. they look just like this http://www.basspro.com/Zoom-Soft-Plastic-Trailers-Big-Salty-Chunk/product/7520/42955 except they are powerbait. when would you pick these over a modern craw style trailer?
  8. i used a crankbait to attach myself to a fish by the finger.
  9. my g3 175 will float in 6'' of water. i will run on plane till 3ft. with the motor trimmed way up its starts kicking up sediment in 1.5 ft of water and i chicken out and kill it in favor of the trolling motor
  10. im happy to give my catch away if i don't plan on eating it. its a public resource not my personal fishing hole. if i can make someone day better while im enjoying my hobby than its a win-win.
  11. if the waters warm im getting wet. last year i was off-shore fishing a snapper caught me off gaurd and pulled my rod in. i dove and kicked down 15 +ft and grabbed the rod and swam back to the surface and landed the fish.turns out i had 2 on a double drop rig.
  12. i enjoy catching fish period. so if a see a pack of dinks or bream ill bust out the light rod with a small baits or my fly rod and have a ball. i would never waste tournament time doing that. as far cheap/practice vs. expensive/tournament. all my lures are on the cheaper end,so i dont any top-shelf stuff to save.
  13. dog days afternoons of summer in Alabama. high wind can be annoying, but i know everywhere i fish good enough to know where to get out of it. there have been plenty of 100 deg heat index with close to 100% humidity days id pay serious money for a breeze.
  14. i really like it. it does a great job of showing the fishing skills the pros have. i like seeing the way they react to the leader board changing on the other hand,i like the old 5-fish format also. cool to see the strategies that take alot of time to play out like trying 1.5hrs to catch 1 fat bedded bass.
  15. marine grade plywood. it has no voids to hold moisture.
  16. red bug colored gambler gigi stick. still make the bait just dropped the color.
  17. i would just apply from the inside till it came out the hull a little, let it cure and trim it flush. leaving a penny sized glob on the inside.
  18. i notice a lot of people start laughing like hyenas when they hookup. i know what my boat feels like when my boat mates set the hook so well i usually spin around to help land it before they have said anything.
  19. sounds like they are getting to much time to swallow the bait beside trying to feel your bites, keep your line tight and watch it closely for any movement or taps.
  20. soft hands down. much quieter and they dont break
  21. might check out berkleys vertical rod holders
  22. boy did this statement come true..... the slew i pre-fished was pretty dead.caught a few dinks and a 7lb striper up the creek. moved to a clear, clean creek. a few more dinks. i saw one male guarding a bed and caught him . rode and looked for the last hour. my partner lost a nice fish. 1 legal dink and my fish came to 3.5
  23. do they sell the stringer clips seperately or did you take a stringer apart?
