Rod Breakage Information You Need To Read.
This is the reason why I don't recommend rods to anyone, people tend to blame you if something happened to whatever you said as a choice.

Do You Follow The Pros?
When/Where the tournaments are or their seminars on tactics or techniques, changes in sponsorships, keep up on their stats? I should get more informed, perhaps visit more seminars and get some in-person interaction going on, though it's harder where I am since the lack of big tournaments in the area.

O rings, after a few fish I inspect the senko and if it's not torn enough ill remove it, not a fan of feeding fish soft plastics.

How Many Of You Dont Eat Fish?
I don't like farm raised fish, the trout and catfish stocking taste like dog food like thee feed. The better tasting fish come from the river.

Shimano Sahara
I have some of the FD's, they're good, strong reels. You should be able to find them at least $20 off the retail since the new FE's came out. Some people are holding the price high on the old FD's because they sported an aluminum frame verses the new FE's graphite. Don't know how much of a difference it makes but to some selling they are holding it as top retail.

What Is This
Looks like a typical golden shiner. Rudds and shiners look very similar, a description is here: "Two characteristics can distinguish the golden shiner from all other minnows: (1) the lateral line has a pronounced downward curve, with its lowest point just above the pelvic fins; and (2) there is a fleshy keel lacking scales on the belly between the pelvic fins and the base of the anal fin. The lack of scales on the keel is important to differentiate the golden shiner from the very similar-looking rudd"

Car Repair Question
Sounds like your tech wants 3000 of your dollars. If it was that bad he wouldn't release the car to you. First, go to rockauto.com and price out Upper and Lower control arms, and the Ball Joints, see how cheap they are. Second, if you'er that worried go get another opinion, for 3 grand many people would jump on that if you paid them.

Curado 51E, Good Buy?
51e's are harder to find than the 50's. still though you can find Chronarch 51e's for that price on the bay. I would suggest talking him down and remind them it's an older "e" model they discontinued..
