the pennants are in view the trash is flying 2007
I just heard something today that was pretty interesting in regards to Rogers: He is the only player whose hat is completely "blacked" out under the brim. If you watch some replays, he strokes the brim of his hat, then takes his hands to his mouth (to warm them up), then the pitch. Kind of interesting. Personally I don't think pine tar is "cheating". If hitters get to use it .... why not pitchers??? It would take a bunch of pine tar (much more than was on his hand) and some time to pack it in the seams ...... that would be cheating.

Pflueger Supreme owners?
I had the same problem after about a year of use. It's at the bottom of a lake now (accident) and that will be the last Pfleuger I will ever buy.

GETTIN READY FOR THE fORK tRIP
Man, that monkey has got you in his teeth, ;D ;D ;D Actually I think it's kind of a good way to go about learning how to use one. Buy yourself a descent combo and you will almost be forced in learning how to use one. I also think it's quite a bit easier to learn on a "new" reel instead of just some old POS that your buddy let you borrow to learn on. (At least that's how it went for me)

Music
I like it ALL. Name a genre and I can probably find something I like. My favorite would have to be country though. That fills up about 75% of my computer and Ipod.

Your most impressive fishing streak?
Ohhhhhhhhh ... Probably that time a couple winters ago when I would routinely catch a bass or two in the teens. I also had one outing where I caught 2 ... yes that's right .... 2 New World records and was culling 8 lbers and 9 lbers in one tournament outing. Unfortunately this was in my grandparents basement in Colorado when we were snowed in over Christmas break and I was playing PS2. For real .... last year in March and April. I caught my PB and my first and only double digit bass so far on Lake Fork. So I got to cross that off of my "Life List". #5 - Catch a double digit bass Then came home back to my home waters and the prespawn frenzy was on. I probably caught more bass either side of 5 lbs. in those to months than I had the rest of my fishing days combined. (Not like I had that many 5lber's previously, but it seemed like I was catching bigger bass a consistent basis for those two months) Then to top it off, the first bass I see on a bed on my home waters was a 8 lbs. 3 oz momma that took me two outings to catch. I spotted her around sunset one night and casted to her for about an hour in the pitch black with nothing. I came back sunrise the next morning and had her about noon. :-? :

First car
1990 Camaro IROC-Z that was in absolutely PERFECT condition. Had 42,000 miles on it and was owned by an old man going through a divorce and did not want the wife to get a hold of his car. Bought it for $7000. Good car, fun times, great memories, but a stupid buy now that I look back on it. I also drove 600 miles to get it. This is the pic about 30 seconds after I saw my car for the first time.

Let's See Your PB's!
Actuuuaaalllllyyyy ... Let me take that back. THE prettiest one I have ever seen is the one on my thumb in my avatar. ;D ;D ;D I still kind of wish I would have went back to my motel room and got the "real" digital camera (My dad's fault) and more and better pics. But I wanted to ensure she would swim another day. She was purty though and not a mark on her.

2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
So another words, I can take the boat out at night as well? I didn't think that was possible, but as long as I put the gas back in that I used during the night, I don't think Avid would mind. Maybe he'll want to go as well. One thing you might want to consider though is charging time for your TM battery. Also, Lake Fork is probably not the safest lake to go out at night for a someone who has never been there.

2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
No problem Avid. We are not out yet. We have the room still, but it looks like we both won't know for a while. Keep your fingers crossed.

Are You Ready for Some NFL Trash Talk
So much can happen in the NFL. I think we might have to wait until mid/late November to start the true trash talking. My views: The NFC so far it looks like a one horse race. The Bears simply look UNBEATABLE so far The AFC is wide open. Yes the Colts are still undefeated, but they don't look like the Colts of the past and look very beatable. I think everybody but Oakland, Tennessee, Houston, and Cleavland have a legitimate shot. But like I said, it's REAL early. IMO the Chiefs will take it all, but I am a little bias. ;D ;D ;D ;D If I had to pick the most impressive team in the AFC so far ....... I would say San Diego.

Cold Weather Gear Thread Again
LBH is right on about your feet. As for your hands, if anybody can come up with an effective way to keep your hands warm and be able to fish at the same time will be a rich man. Those cut off gloves are fine for keeping you hands warm, but that's not really a problem. It's the fingers.
