2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
They can be pretty extreme. When I was down there 2 years ago (4 days) the temps were in the low 80's/high 70's for three days and the other it probably didn't touch 50. Mornings are generally pretty cool regardless.

Is it just a superstition?
As an ex-baseball player I am pretty supersitious person and that has seemed to carry over to fishing. Avid, I feel your pain.

do trolling motors spook bass
Yes and no. The only time I am overly concerned about it is when the spawn is on. That's when I opt for a push pole. Most other times of the year I fish considerably deeper so I am not too concerned about it. I voted yes since there is that time in the spring.

Fish in Transition?
Wake me up when the fishing gets better. The past two weeks I have been out (including today) it has been painfully slow. Last weekend I was trying to catch some suspenders with not much luck. Today I left the sonar head unit in the garage .... . Yeah, it was a tough day to say the least.

What is your favorite Beer!!
I am not too picky. I like Bud Light and Coors Light in quantities. Probably Coors Light a tad more. A Boulevard Wheat if I am just going to have a beer or two with dinner. Tequiza is a must when we have tacos at the house. A couple other favorites: Kokane (sp) - My roomate I lived with last year from Canada brought a couple of cases of this down. It was VERY good. It was similar to a Bud or Coors Light, but had a sweet taste to it. Existential Porter - This is a beer from a brewery in downtown Fort Collins .. Coopersmiths. They had a HUGE list of home brews. I asked the bar tender whatever was his favorite .... Give me pint. It was a very dark thick beer. The best to describe the taste would be adult choclate milk with a coffee/beer after taste. Sounds kind of funky, but it was good.

Lake/Pond Turnover or What?
Well actually it was a little over a month ago. August 25,26, and 27th we got over 6 inches of rain. : :-/

Lake/Pond Turnover or What?
Senile, I noticed in another post that you have been out of town quite a bit lately. We had a BIG rain about 3 weeks ago ..... I think. It was bad enough it flooded my basement a little and that doesn't happen unless we have significant rain fall. I'll look back at the weather channel and see when that was.

Fish or sleep?
Sleep is for the winter months.

KANSAS BUCK- BMOC and my buddies recent harvest
Question for you guys ..... First off I know nothing about deer hunting or deer for that matter. Let's say by chance you don't get that buck this fall. Will his antlers grow back the same way next year? I know we'll never know for sure though because your going to bag him day 1 ... right. ;D Good Luck.

what's your dream boat?
They are all SWEET and would take any brand in a heart beat ..... but there has always been something about Bass Cats that have caught my eye.

Electric baby bass boat *(Pics added)*
I am working on underwater pictures as we speak. With your clear water you should be able to take some cool pics no problem. Supposedly this camera will take pics up to 50 ft. http://www.cameras101.com/Kodak-Disposable-underwater-Cameras.html Unerwater video might cost some serious $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Thoughts on Topwater and "Big" bass
Thinking back ...... I can't recall catching a bass over 4 lbs (what I consider a big bass in my area) on a top water bait, excluding scum frog type baits. Yet every morning when I go out in the summer and especially this time of year, it's the first thing I grab ..... rather it be a Sammy, Spook, buzzbait, Pop-R, etc. I guess the point I am trying to make is, that for throwing topwaters as regularly as I do, I sure haven't caught many (if any) big bass on them. All other baits I throw on a consistent basis have caught numerous "big" bass for me. That is why they are in my normal arsenal. You also don't see too many people posting pics of "big" bass they caught on topwaters. There have been the exceptions though. Is seeing a two pounder slam a topwater just that exciting?? I am not trying to make an argument one way or another. It's just something that came to me last night whan I was trying to go to sleep. So what are your thoughts?? BTW - I am heading out for an hour or two before class right now. First up ......... The Sammy. : ;D ;D ;D
