  1. Turtles while cat fishing and my left hand between my third and fourth finger while bass fishing.
  2. crankbaits, lipless baits, and jigs.
  3. I fish 75% of the time from the bank. I like to use soft t-rigged plastics that I can pull through the brush without hanging up. Since I can't go to the fish, I like heavy tackle that I can will bring that bass to me. I also will use 1/4 to 1/8 ouce jigs, topwaters, and shallow running crankbaits.
  4. I would rather catch one hawg. If I found $100, I would just feed the baitmonkey.
  5. I have no quirks. I think I am normal. Of course my wife may say otherwise...
  6. I fill up the spool about 1/4 or 1/3 of the way depending on the size of the spool. After the backing is on I'll put some tape around it.
  7. palomar or an improved clinch knot.
  8. When the ice is off and it doesn't freeze rain.
  9. 11/11/07 on a 3/8 blue/black jig.
  10. You NEED enough rigs to be prepared for any situation that may come up...That's what I tell my wife ;D
  11. Last time I used it was about four years ago. Its not to bad if you respool about once a month, or more depending on how much you use it.
  12. Congrats on the first of 08!! I'm still working on my first one for the year.
  13. Which winter thaw? The lakes around here have frozen and thawed 2 or 3 times already :-?. We've been having pretty good luck with the mid size Mann's 1-minus.
  14. Around 60 or so strands. I also like to have some strands longer than others.
  15. I was hoping to break the 5 pound mark, and I did it over Memorial day weekend with a chunky LM that came in at 5-4.
  16. My wife has stuff that she takes care of around the house and I have mine. As long as my responsibilities around the house are taken care of, my wife doesn't have a problem with me heading out on the weekend.
  17. 33 is muddy from the spring to fall. I don't know about this time of year. I hate the cold wind blowing across it.
  18. I'm going to try ultra light baits until the weather warms up some. After that I'll use the same stuff.
  19. That cold ache from water pouring into your waders from a hole you didn't know was there.
  20. I wouldn't drive it until it gets checked. My wife's water pump went out in the 97 cougar and was probably the cause of the head gasket blowing.
  21. How about when you and another car pull up to a four way stop at the same time and the other driver pulls out because they don't know the right of way.
  22. I'd stick with 33. Lake 34 is over populated with dinks.
  23. In 08: To at least match my PB that I got last year Lifetime: To get a boat .
  24. Early last spring it was around 22' deep. By the looks of it now I'd say maybe 15 to 18 feet deep.
  25. In 35 the kill was caused by hot weather and the lake being to shallow. On lake 33 the water around the dam is about 20' deep, but the back 3/4 of the lake is only about 6 to 8 feet deep. Lake 33 is also loaded with small crappie and huge carp.
