I'm not a perfect angler but I just don't get it.
...neither is my response. oe

Well Dodge, what I don't get is bass anglers handicapping themselves with 50 lb test PE lines. oe

Fishing Jersey
I buy plain hoodies and have my elementary aged grandkids design "grandpa's fishing team" jerseys with permanent markers. They usually spark a conversation at the loading ramp... oe

Glen May - FireLine Ultra 8
In my experience, Fireline is the most "mono-filament-esque" braid available. If anglers would keep this in mind and use it where they would use a limp mono-filament I think there would be far less criticism of it. oe

7'6" MLXF Spinning Rod - Best Uses
Important point that is not often made in rod length discussions. oe

Current Favorite 8 ~ 9 Carrier Braid ?
most likely all 9 strands of this line are gel-spun polyethylene (PE). oe

Tackle Storage - Rubber worms ect.
3 zip-lock bags... green pumpkin, junebug and pearl, baits are mixed by color. oe

Your deepest smallmouth?
I brought one to the boat from the bottom of a 65' drop-off, the eyes looked as if they were going to explode from the head. I released it to swim back down, but considered that a killed smallie. I won't fish deeper than 40' anymore! oe

2000 or 3000 reel for finesse fishing
I would choose the size that balances the rod better. oe

Beginner Dropshot Questions.
Finesse should not be defined by weight or size, but by a lack of bullishness in the presentation. I cannot comprehend a drop-shot of any weight or bait size not being a finesse presentation. oe

A trailer on a spinnerbait or not?
Also one of the "always" crowd... usually thin about 1/3 of the skirt as well. Before you ask, I never fish an undressed jig head either. oe

Tying on Cranks/TW/Jerks
I do prefer oval split rings also, but I've had a couple of the pear shaped split rings fail for me. If I use a snap I tie direct to the bait's line tie whether or not there is a split ring on it. I leave the existing split ring on the bait for another day's use. oe

Anyone go leaderless?
I've been waiting for someone else to expound upon how a mono-filament leader can help control speed/depth of your presentation, especially light soft baits. Mono-filament leaders will also smooth out your retrieve (reducing the jerkiness of the bait many anglers have trouble controlling). oe

Finesse rod & reel
It's written on the internet, it must be the truth... oe

Your Height vs. Rod Length... does it matter?
Considering all of the other commotion going on in and around the water, why would a rod tip slapping the surface be a deterrent to a bass watching a top water bait splashing around 20' - 60' away from the tip slapping??? oe

Finesse rod & reel

Has the senko replaced the fluke?
As stated above: not fished the same... I fish a stick bait as a Neko rig, where as, I fish a Caffeine Shad as a jerk bait. I haven't found a better follow-up bait to a missed walking top-water than the 4" Caffeine Shad when I let it flutter several feet through the water column then jerk it back to the surface. oe

Trouble with Backlash on Strong Casts?
The obvious conclusion is don't try to "bomb" it, cast smoothly and consistently. oe

Your Height vs. Rod Length... does it matter?
I'm sorry to laugh while reading of all these men bragging about their long fishing rods... my wife has frequently reminded me that the majority of men don't know how long 8" really is... oe
