Question About Baitcasters
This is often debated and seldom decided... I find it interesting that each new year more left hand retrieve models become available. oe (Still waiting for a Chronarch 51 with 5.x:1 ratio)

Question About Baitcasters
I think we're past the point where we should be talking about "right-handed" reels vs. "left-handed" reels... today's reels are built with either "right cranking" retrieves or "left cranking" retrieves. oe

The Most Sensitive Rod Money Can Buy
ergonomics (and my walleye fishing background)... a spinning rod/reel will balance in your hand with no grip necessary allowing the lightest of touches pinching the blank above the weight of the reel (assuming no foregrip). When balanced properly, the slightest of weight change from the bait can be both felt and seen. The lighter the spinning combo the better. oe

Berkley Frenzy Diving Depths?
Hmmm... I spent a couple years building these baits when they were made here in the states and I don't remember more than the two diving bill sizes on the cranks. My wife would be quick to jump in and share that I've forgotten more important things...! If there were indeed three depths, then yesterday I was throwing the medium. oe

Tuning Spinnerbaits
Opinions are pretty firmly in the "perfectly vertical" camp. I prefer using lighter weight spinnerbaits, some of which roll back and forth slightly (less than 10 degrees as stated) when I pull them sharply to change the cadence. My bite often comes when I stop the bait momentarily after one of these "sharp pulls". So, thus my question. Thanks for your opinions. oe

Swimming plastics on exposed hook jigheads (grubs & worms), spinnerbaits, shallow crankbaits ( DT 4, DT 6, various wake baits) & jerkbaits if the water is clear and the current is very slow... oe

Berkley Frenzy Diving Depths?
Yesterday I was getting one of the larger lipped version to scrape bottom lightly in 6' - 8' of water. I didn't throw the smaller lipped version. 10' seems as if it would have been a stretch... I'm still wondering what the designed depths were? oe

Tuning Spinnerbaits
I've "chucked" spinnerbaits for a good many years, mostly in foul weather conditions, seldom paying attention to details of the technique... throw, wind, repeat. My success has been commensurate with my effort. To those who consider themselves successful spinnerbaiting, how much do you obsess over the bait running perfectly vertical? I've got a couple of baits I throw that seldom run perfectly vertical but do stay within 10 degrees left/right of vertical. Would you consider this "close enough" or opt for a bait that runs true vertical? Thanks for your opinions. oe

Berkley Frenzy Diving Depths?
15 years ago (or so) Berkley manufactured two lipped diving crankbaits. Four or five years later they were discontinued when they took their hard plastic production to China. Does anyone remember to what depth those cranks dived? Thanks oe
