Jika Rig Presentation
Yep, I've watched that vid a couple times. There isn't a lot of internet buzz about this presentation. I put together one of these rigs a week ago and have been staring at it on my tackle table going through the presentation mentally in my head. (Yes it's frozen around here!) I'm picturing it dressed with a 4" tube/4" craw dragged with a few low hops through rock and weed flats. By mid-summer much of my lake bottom is covered with snot-slime algae. I'm thinking about adding a snap-swivel between the split-ring and weight to gain a little more room over bottom, but I visualize a cup of snot-slime dragging along with the swivel/weight. If I'm going to swim it above the slime then I don't see much advantage over the point tucked Brewer jig head I've been using. I'm looking for presentation experience with this rig... where, how, with what baits? oe

Jika Rig Presentation
Is the Jika rig presentation a novelty destined to be totally replaced in history by the next boutique lure written about in "Internet Fishing Blog Daily", or does it have enough merit to become a mainstay in a generation of bass fishermen's techniques? Beyond Stacey King, has the Jika rig become a "go to" presentation for anyone here? oe

Trilene 100% Fc Vs. Seagaur Abrazx
John's creative graphics aside; if you line up nylon mono, fluorocarbon mono and PE fishing lines along a continuum you'll find far less difference between brands of like composition lines than differences between lines of different composition. oe

Those jigs listed above are all varieties of the skirted bass jig. I would add to your list various hare/hair jigs, as well as, a variety of plain jig heads dressed with your choice of plastic. oe

Hair Jig Questions
I tie jigs with bucktail, marabou and bunny strips, bucktail is the stiffest and breathes the least in the water. It will stand up more than the other dressings mentioned because it doesn't release the trapped air as easily. I tie on a modified Gopher Tackle prowler head (stand up design) and Brewer's spider head. These two heads have proven to be more weed free than other heads I've tied on over the years. The patterns I tie don't use plastic or pork but have the "trailer" tied into the pattern. I'm most successful letting the jig fall on a semi-taught line (yes it pendulums some) and lifting it off the bottom to pendulum back down after a short rest on the bottom... the length of rest is determined by response of the bass. I will also "swim" the jig if I can keep it within a foot of the bottom; wind and current can make this difficult. The bottoms I fish will not allow dragging an open hooked hair jig. oe

The Most Abrasion-Resistant Braid?

Invisi-Braid?
I pretty much agree with you here. The tightness of weave (pic count) and manner/amount of coating give individual braids their individual character. My bias is toward a tightly woven braid with a fair amount of stiffness. I find myself trying new lines each year but so far this has only validated my preference for Ultra-cast (Invisi-braid) on bait casters and original Fireline on spinning reels. Of course everyone's mileage will vary some... oe
