  1. While his feedback only has 3 previous sales, none of which where this one, here's something to enjoy that popcorn. This was his description.
  2. I like the idea of that frame. How sturdy is it with a few people on the deck?
  3. I also believe they use what they think will help them win. A lot of times in am interview if they won on a lure not by their sponsor they'll just use a generic term such as "a natural colored squarebill" in the end though I'm sure they'll still catch a ton of fish and take just about anyone's money fishing with their sponsors baits. They're a pro from their skills and talent. The sponsors just help pay the bills not so much catch the fish.
  4. My curado 200E, after 4 years of heavy use doing paddle tail swimbait duties, is the loudest reel I own.I've used the reel long enough to tear the drag washers apart and have them pretty much stuck on the brass gears. I bought Carbontrex drag washers and It's better than ever. It will throw those swimbaits just as far as any reel Ive owned. I credit it's long casts for a few of my bigger fish when my partner couldn't make the distance casts I could. I'll listen to that geary noise all day long, since the fish don't hear it.
  5. Thats good to hear. I had a 36# on my boat and it moved it just fine its a 1542 model. I only got the 55# because that's all they had in a 42" shaft so I won't have to bend down to steer. I have a 15 horse motor and worry about being slowed down with a deck.
  6. 2 lightning rods ( I like the shock models) and a citica 200E. I have zero expertise with spinning reels but if you need to throw a light bait get one. I hear pfluegers are a good value.
  7. $15 in a 6.6 gallon tank and I can run it comfortably WOT for 4-6 trips. I however will not win any races against a bass boat.
  8. Very nice work. My jon will hopefully get a casting deck on it some day. I have everything I could ever really need 2 fish finders, power pole brand new 55# thrust minn kota, livewell, outboard, etc. I just lack the deck and storage space. What size is that mercury?
  9. It did actually sell at some point. Somewhere between $28.75 and $313.96. We'll never truly know how much money someone wasted on this.
  10. Fishfreakonline they're local to me but I've ordered I online before and they've been great. They have the "hot" florida baits and often do 10% specials on rods. Bass Tackle Depot has good holiday sales but can be pretty slow. Overstock bait often has good deals but very limited selection. If you're into St.croix keep an eye on their bargain room.
  11. I have up on fishing games because all you could do is reel in and stop whatever bait you had on. I'd say allow you to shake your phone to hop and twitch a worm on the bottom. I'd also include actual baits that are on the market in different colors, sizes, weights, etc. Im not sure if that'll be a copy right issue though.
  12. I've done it in the salt water about a mile off shore just drifting over reefs. It seems pretty challenging for bass especially since I'm always on the trolling motor. I rarely ever anchor at a spot or find wind/current that keeps me wgere I want to be. Its still got to be a fun challenge.
  13. The chronarch is obviously the better reel, and I don't know too many people who will argue that it isnt. The price difference puts them in different classes. The citica will do just fine for you and be a good quality performer for years to come. I know my citica reels have all held up perfectly. I have the curado 200E7, which is the same reel as the Chronarch with different paint and some few different parts which don't effect performance. I had a G series citica and still own a G series curado. They are great reels but the frame shape I did not prefer over the E series. My advice is to go for the Chronarch if price is not an option, it's just a better reel. The citica is a good bang for your buck reel.
  14. I'm in the same boat as you I probably take off for a few months every year. Although the past year, I haven't done so.
  15. It's a 2014, topper 1542. I bought it new December of 2013. Don't get me wrong I enjoy it and it gets me on fish and the hull seems to move faster than the similar boats with the same power, but all the benches are flimsy and make flopping noises when stepped on, the boat rattles like crazy, and the paint chips from a garden hose. I was on an alumacraft jon and it seemed more sturdy.
  16. The Grizzly along with the rest of the tracker products tend to be already the most reasonable priced boats out there. That reasonable price usually means they missed out on some details on the process. I know that's the case for my Tracker.
  17. Buying new, that's going to be very hard or almost impossible to find. I have the 2014 1542 with a 15 horse 4 stroke, still no seats or deck, $2,200 for boat and trailer tax, tag, title. I shopped around and was able to get the motor which is also a 2014 for $2,000 brand new with the warranty. You're gonna have to go used and hope for a good deal if you don't want to give up a feature or two.
  18. I would check the worm gear and make sure that it's clean along with the screw for the line guide to male sure that's tightened. There's so many moving parts it could be a lot of things. Does the reel still make the vibration if you hold it upside down.
  19. That's where I live so I can give you a good idea of where to start. Are you hoping to catch one of those "big Florida bass" or just some numbers. Maybe some peacocks? Snakehead? I won't be too helpful on any saltwater species since I barely fish that. Welcome to the Forums.
  20. Happy belated birthday. Let me kmow how my spots do down there for you.
  21. I just thought I'd update this since on my initial post I said it wasn't responding correctly to my key fob. It was just a battery issue. Couple dollars for new batteries and it works flawlessly. So, no issues with durability or build quality from me. I was playing with it in my back yard and it's strong. If I unstrap the boat from the trailer it's able to pick up my boat (240 pounds) with my motor (150 pounds) off the trailer on dry land a little bit. I guess it gets smart and decided to put it back down on the trailer after a second. I'd imagine if it does that it would anchor some of the 16 foot aluminum bass boats in the water and maybe even slightly bigger boats. You can also adjust the anchor strength of the unit for a bigger boat.
  22. I'm in florida and have a 5 year license so I get a actual plastic card, but have the option of printing as many as I'd like. I just keep it in my wallet since I have to have that on me at all times in the first place.
  23. Haven't been out there lately but from what I've gathered, you have to cover a lot of water to get on the fish. I've had good and bad days out there nothing in between. I get frustrated losing 4+ baits to mud fish before I even get a bass. Let us know how you do out there.
  24. I think it starts with childhood. Fishing is a lot cheaper than some of the other habits I see kids get into. I think it comes down to the fact that my generation has grown up with a cellphone, video game, television, and Internet all at the tips of our fingers. A lot of kids never really went outside growing up. Technology has created such a fast pace world and fishing doesn't really fit in with that.
  25. You're about my height minus a few pounds. I can stand up and fish on just about every little boat I've been on. Those Grizzly models are supposed to be very stable. I don't think you will have any troubles at all. My boat in theory should be less stable than yours, due to the width, and stability is never an issue even with two people.
