  1. Is this the same wackos that protested down in Jacksonville a few months ago at a military funeral? I believe they were the Westboro Baptist Church (not any affiliation with the actual Baptist denomination, and certainly not any affiliation with the actual Church). Frog, PM me where the cemetary is and I'll meet you there.
  2. I have a hankering to try fishing with live bream (perfectly legal in the private pond I'm going to be fishing). I've tried this a few times before, but with very little success. Could some of you guys with experience with this type of fishing give me a hint about what hooks, bobbers, ect. you use? Thanks for any help, Preach
  3. Really good post. I agree with others that have said that instinct is a result of knowledge and experience. Anyone who has been fishing long enough has probably had those "in the zone" moments where we could mysteriously call our shots. I don't get it, but I love when it happens!
  4. Welcome! I'm looking forward to learning from a pro.
  5. Congratulations! I forsee this new game sweeping the nation, perhaps even saving the American family. The "We Game" will bring game night back into the lives of many families, salvaging their strained relationships. Dr. Phil dosn't have anything on Dr. Daiwa.
  6. Veal is fom very young cattle - typically a male calf :'( I learn something new every day.
  7. LBH, I thought veal was lamb. If not, what is it?
  8. So...putting this all together, I'm assuming that you're a turkey hunter. Right? ;D
  9. Welcome to BR Madman! I agree, if a guy is a jerk on the water, he's probably a jerk on land too.
  10. Great post 4bizz. You could easily turn this into an article for BR.
  11. I think it's pretty believable. I fish in a small, overstocked pond from time to time, that sounds a lot like the one BA describes. I went to that pond the other morning for a couple of hours when it was in the upper 30s/low 40s, and my father-in-law and I caught 40 (all 12" or under). I got tired of catching them on lizzards, so I put on a Pop-R, and, sure enough, I caught one on it. Later, I tried to catch something bigger, and tried a 12" worm (that honestly lookes more like a snake). I caught one on the big worm too. So, I think it's pretty believable that in a small, overstocked pond, a bass would hit a plastic snake on top in cold weather. Wierder things do happen in fishing.
  12. My guess on the windows would be that it was easier to replace the smaller panes when they got shot out.
  13. Congratulations 4bizz! I always enjoy reading your posts (especially your "catching reports"). Thanks for sharing your trophy hunting experiences with us.
  14. This is really a simple procedure: Step 1: Hook the snake wherever you want to (it's not going to matter). Step 2: Throw the thing in the water and wait for about half an hour (should be enough to get you bored with this kind of fishing). Step 3: Cut the snake off your line, tie on a spinnerbait, and go fishing. That ought to do it for you.
  15. Huh? :-? Who said that? :
  16. Good job! Nice fish.
  17. Great link Muddy!
  18. Yea, I knew everything when I was 15 too. ;D Welcome to BR!
  19. Congratulations, and thank you for your service to our country.
  20. You and your bride seem like you have a lot in common with Glenn and his wife. I remember his wife telling us that he normally catches the numbers, but she catches the big ones. Not bad company to keep.
  21. Welcome! That was a great first post/introduction, and congratulate your wife on behalf of BR.
  22. Alright, alright, you're on to me ;D
