  1. agreed, I don't really see the talent , just record label marketing
  2. I like the Bomber B and the Bandit 100s. The flat sided Rapalas with the coffin bill are another favorite.
  3. I have a Colt Anaconda that I deer hunt with. I use Hornady Custom 300gr. rounds, they pound deer . One word of advice, if you want to kill with your handgun do not carry your rifle along. You may not give yourself the chance.
  4. Left side would be drivers side. Not sure of this model but alot of times there are relays behind the dash. Get a flashlight and squeeze in by the pedal and look up. Changing them is as simple as unplugging out of the socket and plugging the new one in. If you find it pull another relay that is similar from elsewhere and plug it in to test it.
  5. I've met a number of local Fish commision wardens in my area over the years becuase we are a license issuing agent at the shop. Like all people some are nice and some are dicks.
  6. I like using spider jigs and bandit cranks
  7. I have a Stradic FI 2500 on a 68MXF Legend Extreme and love the feel of it . I also have a Stradic FI 2500 on a 70MLF Legend Extreme, the Shimano balances both rods very nicely and is a very smooth, reliable reel. The Cl4 would be sweeter yet! I tried a 1000 series at first on the 7 footer , but the reel seemed small for the setup.
  8. Just wondering, but did you grease the AR bearing? Heavy grease can cause the rollers to not engage. I'm not familiar with Abu reels inner workings , do they have an anti-reverse pawl?
  9. I followed Rhino's advice for the same job and it worked out great
  10. I use them above a bullet weight to "peg" the sinker to the bait. Especially with some of the tungsten weights that have very small holes for the line.
  11. I had a Sedona 4000 do the same thing , but my problem turned out to be the line roller on the bail. For some reason the line would pinch between the roller and bail. I replaced it with another and no longer had the problem. Not sure what your square piece is though.
  12. I would not worry about abuse the rod may have taken, we've received them damaged at our shop right from the manufacturer. So just becuase its been on the rack a while doesn't mean its more likely to be damaged. Check it over good and feel comfortable that it has a warranty. Do not pay full price though, old inventory just sitting is not good. I know we discount to get rid of old inventory. Asking won't hurt.
  13. No real difference except they usually cost more.
  14. I like both the ACS and ECS. My Legend extremes have the former and my LTB the latter. To tell the truth I don't even notice the difference in them anymore they both feel right.
  15. We got pounded with rain the last 3 days in Northcentral PA, over 10 inches in my hometown. The Susquehanna river is at flood stage but not the worst its been, but the tribs. are all at record flood levels. The National Guard was rescuing people from helicopter and boats. One road overpass and a railroad bridge washed away on one creek. The communities on the North Branch of the Susky will see record crests later this evening and early morning. Its truly amazing what power moving water has.
  16. Yeah we got about 8 inches in the last day and a half with more coming overnight. Fishing the Susquehanna river is out of the question for a while. I guess I'll chose a lake this weekend!
  17. I actually use the small little rebel crayfish cranks alot on the small streams near me, but I do fish light weight tubes also and a 1/16 oz. jighead with a plastic hellgramite . For t-rigs I would probably use 6'8" M/XF that I have.
  18. No pic, but my PB was through the ice last year - 15 in. and one ounce shy of 2 pounds
  19. I use St.Croix Legend Extreme 7' ML/F with Stradic 2500. I love this setup for canoe fishing down Pine Creek.
  20. same here, I can remember when you didn't need to be in touch at all times
  21. I hope the decimal point was off by a couple places
  22. I saw the 2012 St.croix catalog and the legend tournament series was completely redone. The rods look sweet , they have a split reel seat . It looks as if they changed all the lengths slightly for all their actions. I didn't get a chance to read in depth but just had a quick look. I might even have to consider an LTB instead of the legend extremes when I get my 3 rods this year.
  23. It sounds as if you have a relay hooked to the switch if its making a clicking sound, so maybe there was trim. Check to see if the cylinders have plugs in them where hydraulic hose or a pump may have been at one time.
