Trying to set the hook, and it's to early and your lure comes flying at you. But also getting stuck in boat, or possibly trees..ugh! Especially with topwater frogs!

I agree, just make more casts since you know they are on the bank..Super Fluke weightless, or senko weightless.

Yea I was looking at the Redbone rods, but I didn't want to spend that much....But it looks like I got a good buy for the price. Can't wait to try it out!

So I picked up a 7' medium action spinning rod yesterday from Dick's. It was only 55.00, and I'm paring it with a Pflueger President reel. I hope the rod works well!

Yea I was thinking its a bearing, however I just cleaned it 2 days ago and lubed. The reel is only like 3 weeks old. Anyways, I'll give it a try again I guess!!

I guess I need to take a look at those erratics.....And I need some good squarebilled cranks...

So, my baitcaster is making a strange noise when I cast it. Its like a screeching noise or something, or a whistle. Maybe its a bearing....I don't know, any suggestions??

So I was fishing with my Xcalibur XR50 foxy shad, and had a great day! I was fishing on a point from shore, with a head wind.....I was yo-yoing it in about 4ft of water. Caught a 4-5lb fish, just inhaled it! I prefer using the one tungsten knocker model, I've caught more fish with that one. But, this is turning into one of my favorite lures, and the hooks are quality. Just wish they were a bit cheaper though.

They don't, and I forgot to mention I got the reel about a year ago. They retail for around 200-230.00 right now. I'm glad I got the deal. But, like I said the TD Sol is a great reel too. Maybe they will have sales on them!

Feel you there with getting popped in the face! I started using a lighter rod, it helped...

So, I picked this reel up from BPS for a hundred dollars, which is a great steal, and have loved it ever since. It's very light and smooth. It has less bearings(5) then many newer reels and it feels the same if not smoother. Just all around great med-lite reel. Its the same reel internally, if not externally, as the TD sol. I just wanted to share my experience.

Man that really sucks! I remember when I started driving it was .99 cent a gallon. My father told me when he started driving he could get a pack of smokes, a 6 pack, and fill up the tank for the whole night with 5 bucks! Man.....I wish!

Yea I picked up the real craw 3 pack at Dicks. I haven't used them yet but can't wait. As far as them being cheap I agree but all I think is cheap is the hooks. JUst switch em' out and you have a great lure I believe!

Too much time like said....its all good! just try to set earlier but not too early...I haven't had any problems fishing weightless. Just watch that line, you'll pick up on it more the more you watch it..
