  1. Im in the market I think for a new spinning rod...and suggestions?
  2. What would YOU buy?
  3. Zoom super flukes are always a versatile bait to have! They can be fished like top water, or weightless below the water. They are great around lily pads, and grass. I usually use a 3/0 off shank hook. You can also add a jig head to them if you like!
  4. The bite! Just knowing the fish are there to be caught!
  5. I've also had luck with Senkos or imitations weightless. Works very well!
  6. Hey guys I'm going out there next week. I would really love if you could post how things went! Like, what they were hitting on. I'm taking some buddies out there and would love to get them on some fish! Thanks! Lyle
  7. I didn't even think about that....Thanks!
  8. Sounds good to me! That can't hurt.

I'm gonna be going out to Loxahatchee and I was just curious to whats been working out there for lures. I'm gonna be taking some friends that have never been and I would like to put them on some fish. I haven't been out there in a long time. If you can help that would be awesome. Thanks Lyle
  10. Depending on how light, try a lighter # line. You could maybe even tie a swivel about a foot up and that will give you alittle extra weight. That will change the action of the lure though. If it floats the swivel will suspend the lure a bit.
  11. def. going to get me some of those! thanks!
  12. alrighty then! that sounds great. I really hate when they break, and I always use those brand hooks with my worms and flukes, so I know they are great! Thanks Again for the help!
  13. ok sweet what time? I dont have a boat or nothing, whats going on there?
  14. I'll have to check them out, thanks for the tip!
  15. I like the Zoom lizards, they have worked for me. Green pumpkin with red flake has been the best. I want to try the Yum sallemander, heard they are great.
  16. I guess its either hit or miss!
  17. I'm def. not bashing Quantum I just didn't have a good experience with them. I'm starting off cheaper til I get better with the baitcaster.
  18. Sounds like they are just checking it out because they're not sure about it. I know it may sound weird but try ripping a leg off the lizard. You might get bet bites rather than short strikes. It might encourage them more to inhale it.
  19. That sounds like a plan! I was going to but I just swapped a hook form a broken lure. Typically what size hook? Do you like the round or oval split rings?
  20. Ya I like 5/8 oz spinner for castability. Sorry I posted the first one wrong.

  22. I bought the KVd signature series baitcaster at Bps on sale for 99.99. I fished with it for 4 days then returned it. The crank handles started to fall off and the main shaft started to get real loose. And ever so often when casting it, the release button would lock after throwing it, making a grinding sound, and whipping the bait back towards me. So, I got the Bps PT tournament series and am very happy. Thought I would share if anybody was looking at that reel. Lyle
  23. I agree! I've used the yum craws and they have produced for me. However you could try ripping 1 or some of the legs off to mimic a injured one. Since you have confidence with it already, it may just get you some more strikes. I've done it with Zoom lizards and its worked. Just a thought!
  24. I've been looking at the craws. Is that the true craw, where their eyes are on the back of the lure? If it is I almost picked one up today! I've been having alot of luck on the foxy shad. Thats my go to bait so far, it almost always produces!
  25. Really?! I enjoy those in the shallow grass lines and lily pads, they just don't get snagged!
