  1. I decked my 1448 in aluminum but I can't remember how much I paid. I did do a lot of dialing until I found the best price. He's a link, call around. [ftp]http://www.thomasnet.com/south-carolina/aluminum-sheets-74521402-1.html[/ftp] Good luck
  2. Thank you for the input.
  3. I'm going to be visiting River Ranch Florida in mid February. I googled it and it looks like it's close to Lake Walk-In-Water. Has anyone fished this area and do you guys know of a guide thats close by? Thanks for the help.
  4. Thanks guys. I have noticed that this happens on all my rigs. I mostly fish with worms and I like the no stretch. What lines are you guys using for worms that would get rid of this problem? Or am I switching one problem for another.
  5. I fish PowerPro in a 15lb test on a Stradic 2500 and 1000 and every once a while, during a cast, a clump of line comes flying out >. What causes this?
  6. Nice P's. I'll be hitting a lake in Cutler Ridge a week from this Sunday for Peacocks. After looking at your pics, I can't wait to get out there (it's going to be a long week) . Once again good job.
  7. That does work but you have to yank the hook out. Faster is better. But if given the chance, I'll take it out with pliers (much more fun) ;D.
  8. Some time ago my buddy and I go out for a day on the lake. He catches a small LM on a crank bait and while removing the treble hooks the fish goes crazy and one of the treble hooks ends up deep in his thumb. The point of the hook was real close to the back of his nail. After looking at it was obvious there was only one way for that hook to come out, the same way it cam in. Get this image, he has one hook in his thumb then there's the crank bait and the fish is still on the bait. He looks at me at tells me take it out but whatever you do DON'T STOP! And like a good friend, I said don't worry, I'll get it out. Besides the birth of my kids, removing a hook from deep inside his thumb brought me great pleasure. ;D The hook came out and after a 10 minute break he went back to fishing. The other day we were at his house talking about that day and he told me that he had two options. 1.Go to the hospital and have them remove it. 2.Let me rip it out of his thumb. He figured that it would have hurt a whole lot less if he would have gone to the hospital but it would have messed up his fishing day. Now that's a guy that really wants to fish. Til this day he is hoping to repay the favor and remove a hook out of me.
  9. Fisherman, I'm not sure if that's Cutler Bay but it's near SW 216th Street and 87th Ave (South Miami for you non natives).
  10. Went out to a new spot my buddy knows about and we landed 12 Peacocks and 4 LM.
  11. I live just southwest of Ft Lauderdale. I did see one that was pushing about 4lbs .
  12. I caught this Peacock on a jig with a trailer hook. He kept on short striking it so I put on thr trailer and on the second cast hooked up with him. I dropped it, in on a bed that he was sitting in and when he woould get close to it, I would rip it out and reel as fast as I could. He hit it while chasing it. I'm guessing he was about 2lbs.
  13. I just picked up a spool of this stuff at BPS. I bought the 15# test. Has anyone used this? I've read a couple of article online but nothing from anyone's personal experience.
  14. Welcome.
  15. Strike King, That's the one. You're the man. Thanks
  16. A few weeks back someone posted a set of video and I'm trying to find them. For the life of me, I can't find them anywhere. One of the videos was of underwater strikes and a couple of Bill Dance. Please help. Thanks
  17. Kistler. Awesome rod Log on to tackeltour.com and do a search for Kistler rods. Read the testing these guys have done and the Kistler rods will out perform rods twice the price of the Kistler. Good luck
  18. cart7, God Bless you! Now this forum got good ;D
  19. PeterF replied to Catt's topic in Fishing Reports
    WOW
  20. Good job guys!
  21. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to paint them. After a few fish my red hooks turn gold. I would paint them with a spay paint intended for metals.
  22. I know that Loomis as well as the other high end rods are of excellent quality but the rods the pros use are of other brands like Diawa, Shimano, Quantum... Are the rods they use similar to what we can buy off the rack or are they using blanks that are not available to us? Thanks
  23. BigAl, I have a Motorguide 46lb with a 42" shaft I think the motor sticks out too much. Check out the picture. I should have bought a 36" for mine. If you notice the shaft is about a foot and a half above the deck.
  24. I got one...Tight Lines. If you do great mention us and give us credit, if you do bad we don't know you ;D. J/K Good luck and have tons of fun.
