  1. Thanks for the comments. I don't remember if I mentioned this before but my buddy and I are the ones that started the tagging in my pond.
  2. I tie a Double Uni and it works great. I make three turns on each side to get as low of a profile as possible and it's never slipped.
  3. We went out today and did very well most fish came on spinner baits. The first photo is of a 3lb 7oz on a black double prop buzz bait. I was throwing it over lilly pads. This fish was 5lb 1oz and I caught on a crank bait. I was hitting a tree thats been in the water for about 2 years. I was running it over the limbs and pausing it when it would hit them. During one of those pauses, it nailed it. Here's a picture of the tag. Stats: Date Weight Length Girth Location Lure 1-15-07 4lb 6oz 23.5 12.5 4c Jig 2-25-07 5lb 1oz 23.75 14.5 5b Crank Bait The first time the fish was caught was on the point to the left and the second on the right. Distance is approx. 350 ft.
  4. I'll be out there tomorrow and it should be 75 but when we got out there it was under 40 .
  5. Congrats
  6. New 2 Bass, It is John that Im working wiyh. Have you worked with him in the past?
  7. On Monday SE_FL_BassAddict (Robert) came over on a VERY cold morning. It was under 40 and that's cold for us Southeners . We hit the water at around 6:45am and about 15 minutes later we had 3 fish with Roberts weighing in at about 2lb 12oz. We measured the fish and logged it and though it back in before tagging it (blaming that on the cold) ;D. We fished until 1:00pm and caught over 30 fish including the one in the photo that weighed in at 2lb 11oz. I'm glad Robert came out because he noticed that my pond (25 acres) is producing under weight fish. Since then I have started to work with a Biologist from Florida Fish and Wildlife to turn it into a trophy lake .
  8. We want spell check, We want spell check, We want spell check, ;D
  9. So far so good. Keep up the good work.
  10. jkart, I would have made the platform where the TM is, a little bigger. If you notice, the TM sticks out a bit. I ended up rotating it in and now it the base sticks out past the instument panel. The weight distribution may be different on your boat but I would have been better off with a 36" shaft on the TM. Right now the top of it sticks out a lot when the motor is in the water. If you decide to make a TM deck similar to mine, the seat pole will be too close to the TM control. I installed another base behind the one the boat comes with. I wouldn't but the seat base in the middle section. I think the rear section came out perfect. As far as how it fishes; GREAT. What's on the boat when we go out. 8 Rods 2 Tackle Boxes 2 Tote Bags (The one Ugly Stick gives away) 1 Cooler (8 beers, 6 sodas and a couple of waters) 2 Oars 1 Net We keep most of that CRAP in the middle section. Rods on deck.
  11. I have the same boat and looking back I wouldn't have painted it. I used primer and enamel spray paint (can). Here's a few of pics. If you would like, I can give you some ideas on a few things that I would have done differenty. Good luck.
  12. Good for you and good luck.
  13. I owned a 250 on my last boat and it worked great. I never had a problem with it. I currently have the 168 (no GPS) but pretty much the same thing.
  14. Robert, Congrats. 3 Questions 1. Did you give it a hug when no one was looking? 2. Are you sleeping on it the first night its home? 3. Is your H2 Black? ;D

Avid, I know you dont want to hear this but your picture taking is getting better ;D. Self portrait with rod, reel, bass and a piece of the rattletrap. Good Job.
  16. As my 3 year old calls it, "Daddy's Blue Boat" ;D
  17. The larger the deadrise the better it will work in choppy conditions but the higher deadrise will make it less stable. Flat bottom boats are more stable but they'll beat you up in rough waters.
  18. With that 30 hp, I wonder what kind of speed you can get?
  19. My buddy and I fished on his 12' Bass Tender for years and no one ever fell in the water . I think thats a great price. He paid $3200 for his but he did get a gas engine. On his we were able to stand up but no moving around. Good luck.
  20. http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=90403&hvarDept=100&hvarEvent=&hvarClassCode=2&hvarSubCode=6&hvarTarget=browse Anyone have or hear anything about these rods. My buddy is looking at getting one after his tax rebate .
