just wondering if I can "turn on" only 1 brake on the 6 pin system on shimano reels, or is it usually in pairs 2-4-6? just wanted some input from those who have more experience. thanks^^

ive only handled the mojo but have a fenwick hmg i also second that the fenwick seems more crisp and alive in your hand. i would probably go with the fenwick especially if you move up to the hmg cr

i went back recently and all the clearance items were no longer 50 percent off the clearance price. they were being sold as is. the field and stream elite tech were no longer 17 and change they were actually 50 something still. so most items that i saw that were on clearance no longer have the additional discount. my guess is the sale that they told you about that started on Sunday were for different items...i saw a few, but was not impressed...e.g. certain clearance combos additional 25 percent off...

why is it that most of their stuff isn't marked? it seems like some reels and some rods are not marked for clearance...now i feel like i have to ask for a price check on every thing haha

was able to find a 37 dollar supreme...just it was the display model without a box...they wouldn't drop the price anymore:P still bought it...haha

just on the forums im seeing guys from florida and kentucky that are able to pick up some rods at 50% off clearance price both the veritas and the crucials

so they are doing away with technique specific it seems. also any idea of the warranty?

apparently there are certain dicks at are doing 50% off clearance for the rods....i went by again today and no luck just 25...hopefully it becomes nationwide soon enough...haha

been trying to find the 7'2" Medium power drop shot crucial...so far no luck in the new england area...haha

cant help but notice that some of the suggestions are the ones the op tried and didn't like...ive the tried the 3707 and im going to try the 3504 next...seems to be an easier way to remove the spinnerbaits and like u said not have the skirts get caught/damaged

also dicks sporting goods is having clearance sales...might be work a look if you have one in the area

To be honest I have been able to find new stuff for about 30-40% off if you look around for older models and sales. I have been always tempted to buy used since I have seen great deals, but I feel a little bit more peace of mind when I am the first owner.

i typically use a 2/0 trailer hook and haven't had any issues on my spinnerbaits:)

found a 7'2" MH XF crucial for 90, a diawa lexa 2500 for 72, and a curado 200g6 for 75...it was a good time...there was a 6'8" M xf dropshot crucial...but im looking for the 7'2"...

I am kind of in a bind...I can get a curado g6 for 80 vs. a tournament speed spool for 120...this is for my jig/t-rig rod and i was wondering if the extra 40 dollars will get me "more" of a reel(and i guess the 3-4 extra ipt)...ive heard great things about lews and ive tried out the bb1 using tw's demo program which i thoroughly enjoyed casting and had no backlashes etc. i guess my question is would i notice a 40 dollar difference? i realize this is really subjective, but i just wanted to hear opinions. thanks again

Hello everyone^^ I will be fishing a club tournament on lake Champlain(Ticonderoga area) this Saturday and Sunday. It looks like there is heavy rain right now until tomorrow. The few days following how would you guys fish these conditions? Do you think a day of clear skies will have the fish back to normal patterns? The water will probably be a bit dirtier than usual for a few days right? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
