  1. May I ask where you ordered from?
  2. Both. I refer to the front of the large rock/boulder/island/root ball/bridge pilings as "push" water. The current just before it's redirected around the obstruction creates a seam or a slack water area from the water hitting the object and pushing or stopping the current briefly that smallies will hold in. Probably one the most overlooked productive areas for fishing current.
  3. THIS!! I just got the millenium seats and love them. I'm a big guy with a big butt so I prefer the cables vs the straps. They come with the straps, so if you don't like them you can get the cables, easy swap.
  4. Battle Baits make very nice swim jigs https://www.battlebaits.com/new-swim-jigs
  5. I'm a fan of the P-line duo lock snaps size 1. I use them all the time. I like the ease of changing out my baits without constantly having to retie.

Everytime. Average supply at my local store. I enjoy rumaging through the YUM discount boxes to pick up a couple bags of whatever catches my eye. I got a few bags today of ribbon tail worms that I plan to cut the ribbon tail off of and use as chatterbait/spinnerbait trailers. At the discount prices I can cut up some plastics and use Mend-It to make up some homemade baits.
  7. Snagler Tackle- Chartreuse Death Snag for stained/dirty water. Many other options/colors for all water types https://snaglertackle.com/product/stc-thin-wire-3-8-and-1-2oz-1-4oz-profile-spinnerbait-double-willows-all-colors/ Sick Custom Baits https://sickcustombaits.com/shop-products/ Battle Baits https://www.battlebaits.com/suppressor-spinnerbaits
  8. Beadsmith wire bending pliers on Amazon for $13.98 They will handle .041 wire. The little round nose jewelry pliers from Walmart can't take the torque that these can.
  9. Sled jig in 1/16 or 1/8oz on a #1 hook. https://northbranchtackle.com/products/sled-jig They also have a weedless football jig on a #1 hook.
  10. Slow down. Let the ripples dissipate before moving my soft plastic.
  11. Crock O Gator black/black gold 3/8oz. The head shape is like a planer that keeps it on top easier. Always have one on for river smallie topwater.
  12. https://snaglertackle.com/product/stc-the-big-jerk-5-1-4-inch-fluke-8-per-pack-all-colors/ Snagler has them in different sizes. Great guy! Don't know why I didn't think of him at first. Gettin old...
  13. https://river-rock-custom-baits.myshopify.com/products/4-jointed-jerkbait?variant=40384924909638 Jointed jerkbait or jointed fluke. Several companies make them. River Rock has one close. Only color I can see in your pic is chartreuse pepper.
  14. Mend It just works for me. I buy the 1oz bottle. Just keep it in the fridge when not in use. One bottle will do 200 plus repairs so $12-$14 a bottle is worth it to me. I have not tried just PVC glue so I will not speak to whether it works or not. I did search for reviews about using it and they are all over the place about whether it works or not. That's why I just stick with Mend It. I did try the Spike-It fix a lure and it did not work as well as Mend It.
  15. Owner wide gap plus for tubes and meaty plastics
  16. This would eliminate the new snap installation issues on the jackhammers....
  17. https://sfttackle.com/sfttackle-big-hook-weedless-tube-jig-head-14129.html I use these. The weed guard does not negatively impact hook up ratio in my opinion. The 3/0 hook pairs well with 2.75" to 3.5" tubes; Mizmo, River Rock, Strike King Coffee, etc. I'll fish a tube EVERY time I fish for smallmouth.
  18. https://venomlures.com/products/salt-series-tubes-venom-lures-fishing?variant=40224221855881 This is pretty close. Pumpkin golden shiner
  19. 4" t-rigged weightless. I fish it like a fluke, just like IcatchDinks says above. Fished it today and it worked well because alot of the grass in the river is cutting loose and floating along. Other baits were catching the grass where the senko was coming right through it.
  20. I tend to throw "flappers" when the water has some color to it. Clearer water, more subtle approach. I've always done well with Yamamoto fat baby craws in clearer water.
  21. Duncannon to the statue is good fishing. There's mountains on both sides but as said, heavily traveled highway and RR tracks each side. This section is loaded with islands, rocks, and ripples. I can't help much with island camping as I don't do this. We rent a house, we're in jet boats, and travel to different ramps each day to fish different sections. You can google island camping on the Susquehanna and you'll find info on public island campsites. It's less noisy, good fishing, and more scenic in my opinion around Selinsgrove, Liverpool, and Montgomery Ferry sections. You can also stay at Ferry Boat Campgrounds. Good fishing all around that area and I'm sure primitive sites at this campground are fairly cheap. If looking for wild, you are gonna have to go further up on the west and north branches.
  22. Agree. I steer clear of Sherman's and the Point where the Juanita enters the Susky. Too many boats for my liking. No doubt the fish are there, but there are countless other areas where the smallies are stacked. Typical Spring and Fall on that river produces consistent 70-100 fish days, and good fish. Not a brag on my ability to fish but a brag on the quality of that fishery.
  23. I fish the Susky every Spring (mid April)and Fall (late Oct) and catch a lot of 19-20" smallies from Harrisburg up to Sunbury. Very scenic in my opinion with small towns along the river and river is loaded with islands, rocks, ripples.
  24. Mend-it will repair them to fish again. I haven't tried the super glue yet but if I do, I would put a dab of glue on the hook bend right before the eye and slide the bait over as usual.
