okay well i got a baitcaster love it i was throwing some spinnerbaits and my light action ugly stick was just to light for it. what rods would you guys suggest im gunna be mostly lagemouth fishing and also saltwater bass fishing as well but i just need a good medium action rod that wont break the bank any suggestions?

haha yeah it would of been better to post first i will do that next time hahah i took it out today got all the settings dialed in and this thing is great it casts a mile and is really smooth caught one largemouth already great reel in my opinion thanks guys for the posts

i went to my local lake which is regional lake in cerritos CA and mainly went there to dial in my new baitcaster and get the feel for it and hopefully catch a few fish in the process. The reel worked great very minimal backlashes only a few here and there, i was using a spinnerbait nothing so i switched to a weightless kinami and didnt get anything starting to think theres no fish in there hahha didnt see anyone catching any all day it was about 8:30 and i switched to a jointed floating rebel and cated got a backlash so i was clearing it and bam fish on set the hook the fish jumped and was probably about 2 pounds at least and i brought it up to the side and i came off pretty good day it was the biggest bass ive caught out of there, just wish i would of landed it i dont know if i did something wrong or if that just happens sometimes but all the other bass ive caught thats never happened to me

Thanks a lot everyone! i went out today to my local lake (regional lake in cerritos) and used the kinami with the 3/0 and didnt get anything fished it super slow on the bottom and nothing switched it out for a jointed floating rebel trout colored and got an okay largemouth about 2 pounds biggest ive ever gotten there hahah

i would probably start selling some crack get a revolver, and eventually die of a heart attack due to built up stress....

turtles are such a pain in the *** especially when they break your favorite spinnerbait hahaha

hey guys i got some kinami flash worms today they are 5 inch black and gold. i wasnt sure what size worm hook to get for them (im new to plastics) so i got 2/0 cheap-o southbends and 3/0 matzuos what size would you guys recommend for them? and anyone ever use these before they look alot like the senko worms (i guess thats because they are both made by gary yamamoto hahaha) but if you have used them any luck? and any tips for fishing them thanks alot guys

hey everyone i picked up a new shimano callisto today for 34 bucks there was a mistake at the store they put the wrong price on it so i got is for 20 bucks cheaper, just wondering if any of you guys have this reel what you think of it, anything you wanna tell me this is my first low profile reel so just let me know what you think! thanks guys

yeah its kinda hard to keep it on the hook just use a treble and make sure its really on there good you will get some eventually good luck

yep been there done that! i have a boat and loose lures constantly it sucks but thats what fishings about its all worth it when you catch the big one good luck next time man

i always talk while fishing i dont think it makes a difference while i=on my boat we even have music playing sometimes and we are still catching fish

ive used the power bait in blood flavor sent whatever it is and chicken or liver cant remember the lighter colored one the blood works best for me and have caught some nice cats with it biggest being about 10 pounds ive never used the magic bait but i know the power bait works good luck

i caught my 2nd biggest catfish using a bream hooked him though the back close to the tail and let it sit for a while and bam! almost lost my pole and the fight was on brought up a 30 pound cat it was one ugly mo'fo

im going to el dorado park next saturday for about the 10th time ive only caught small bluegills and really small bass and i want to get the family on some real fish... ive always used lures there crank baits spinners everything never used bait.. im thinking about bringing one pole for bait the other for artificial whats some good baits to use there for catching anything bass catfish anything really and then what are some good lures to try there im more of a saltwater fisherman so i have alot of saltwater gear but i have my fair share of freshwater as well i have some gulp jerk shads that i use for salt water that i catch lots of bass on but will those work for freshwater? just any tips and help is much appreciated thank you

i could tell you everything you need to know if you are looking to catch some saltwater fish in long beach i live here go saltwater fishing all the time and destroy bass,bonita ect... if you wanna know some spots for the ocean and what to use hit me up as of freshwater... i havent had too much luck in any lakes around here just a few bass here and there at regional lake in cerritos and at el dorado lake

okay so i went to alabama for a family reunion at my dads lake house fished almost every day and one of the days i caught this turtle... about 5 minutes after releasing this thing i went noodling with a few guys that go almost everyday and know what there doing we had a pretty good day i got 2 the bigger of the 2 didnt make it onto the boat it was at least 15 pounds a really nice fish i was ticked that it got away so we kept hitting more and more holes and i caught this one pretty decent after catching that one we were going to there 'honey hole' where they have caught a few 40 pounders and a 55 pounder (btw this was my first time ever noodling) i was exited to go there and hopefully get a big one and then one of the guys went to start the boat and ripped the pull cord and the motor and we had no tools to fix it and the trolling motor was dead... we ended up dragging the boat back to the house over all good day of noodling. had an overall great trip caught so many fish couldnt get pictures of all of them but heres some more fish we caught while there...
