i cant remember what kind of jig i think maybe strike king or some other name brand and one i was using some bass pro worm trailer i got as asample from a pack of frogs and the other using a rage craw!

haha oh okay yeah the fishing there is amazing to be literally minutes away from the city and be able to catch 5 pound plus bass is just awesome!

ive hooked my biggest bass ever on a firetiger strikeking spinner bait he looked about 8 pounds but barley hit so i didnt set the hook right when i saw him he got away my advice is hooksets are free dont be afraid to set it if you feel anything at all i thought it was just some weeds so i didnt set after that ive set all the time and its defiantly paid off my personal best barley hit but i set the hook not knowing if it was weeds or not and ended up being a nice fish.

thanks for the replys guys and yeah i had a pretty d**n good time down there showed my nephews a thing or two in their little ponds on how to produce good numbers i was in the dallas area and sorry i forgot to put in the original one the last picture was actually caught in alabama on lay lake i figured i would just put it in this thread rather then make a new one im thinking its a spot because i have heard lay lake has a healthy population of spots also just curious how much does the second picture look like as far as weight didnt have a scale on me he felt pretty hefty

i couldnt believe this guy would go after a lure as big as him! i caught this turtle and thought it was a huge bass and was so stoked once i saw it was a turtle i was bummed! hey anyone know what kind of bass this is it didnt look like a large mouth to me im thinking maybe a spotted? let me know

went out to texas to visit my sister and couldnt resist the bass calling me only was able to fish a few times but got pretty good results in those few days enjoy! we caught probably 30 bass or more every day we went out but not all of them were good sized like most of these.

awesome! any pictures? and ncbassmaster you get any? i got a few this year most we under 25 nothing that great i did get one big boy as i got him out of the water and was walking around the cove to get to the house to get a weight and pictures he shook hard while i wasnt expecting it as i was recovering and got away i was so bummed i couldnt get an official weight or picture but i know it was the biggest d**n fish ive ever seen or been near i would say 50+ here is what he did to my arm

yeah we got huge turtles too they are no joke lightning fast mean as hell and strong! i know a guy missing two fingers from snapping turtles hes in his 60s and still noodles

yeah i have a catfish pole which is just a peice of pvc with a treble on the end attached to a line that goes down the middle i use it if the hole is too deep for my arms or my legs to go in but yeah that will work for turtles too you will know when i turtle hits that thing

HELL YEAH thats what i like to hear in a couple months ill be posting up what i got boys lets do this! im gunna get me a 40 pounder this year!

now that is crazy! but it does sound like fun might have to try noodling me some turtles and yeah we got some beavers up here too but my 12 gauge usually takes care of those pesky critters they chew up the boat docks also pain in the ass! i would not want to find one of them down there
