chocolate milk!
The dirty water will bother the bass' gills and of course they will try to find the cleanest water they can find. If you can find cleaner water then that is where to fish. Use dark colored baits. Have fun and don't let a little rain cancel out your fishing trip.

Heard this on WRVA this morning: Who wears red, white and blue and plays golf in the spring? The Washington Capitals! Just thought I would add to the conversation.

1st trip to Lake Moomaw in VA - anyone been lately?
Dan, seems not many guys or gals on the Forum fish Moomaw. With the rains we will be enjoying Thursday evening through Friday, the water depth may be high which means the water will be over the normal bank level. I have not been on Moomaw in ages so I am of no help. Won't be visiting the place as I hate I-81 on a good day. Just go out and if the water is over the normal bank hit the shoreline any any wood you can find. Good luck and let us all know how you did.

How far can you cast a senko?
Shak, trying to determine distance on a body of water is very difficult. Distance via your estimation can be way off. I suggest getting one of those laser distance meters and use that device for a more correct estimations. To answer your question: I have marked off distance by casing in my field and then walking to measure the distance. I forgot what it was as it is not important. Putting the Senko exactly where you want it is more important.

Not Cool
Posting a photo of himself with a fish caught by another person is fraud. I would write him off.

Jigs and pigs plus Carolina rig, please. Look for any laydowns you come upon. Have fun and be safe.- Help me pick my last rod ever?
Kangler, you never have enough rods. Don't worry about it.- Carolia Rig Tips
Robert, go to your favorite tackle shop and purchase a package of three-way swivels. Attach a three-way swivel to the main line that allows you to create two leaders. At the end of the main leader line, about 18 to 24 inches, add a 3/0 hook for a lizard. At the end of the secondary leader line, about 8 to 12 inches, add a smaller 1/0 hook with another plastic, like a grub, French fry, fluke, crawfish, swamp crawler, trick worm, finesse worm, etc. Make sure your beads are of cut "glass" and are not plastic. You can find "cut" glass at a bead shop. Use clear beads, not red or black. Glass beads make a different sound than the plastic ones. Use two, of course. Use a one-half to one-ounce MOJO weight. You may have to search for them. You can order them on-line. The weight of your sinker is up to you. I use either a half or one-ounce MOJO sinker. Main fluorocarbon line is to be 20 pound test. Leader line can be lighter, such as 10 to 20 pound test. Use a heavy rod of your selection and a strong reel. A "pro's trick" is to hook the lizard in the side, not up and down. Now set up your Carolina rig and do some fishing!!!!!- Strangest Color that Catchs Fish?
Taco Salad!- What's working for your pond currently?
Nothing is working. They are on their beds so I am leaving them alone until after May 1st, giving the water time to warm up into the upper 60's and low 70's.- starting a club in madison heights ,va
KFILI, go to Links and then Bass Clubs and then Virginia (great English) and go to FLW Federation (last listing) and ask them. I was a member of the FLW Federation about four years ago and am now with a BASS club and if I recall this area had no clubs. But times change and hopefully Pennix5 has had good results.- Looking for a club / group.
Kurt, try going to the top of this page and click on the "Links" page and click on "Bass Fishing Clubs." Under "Bass Fishing Clubs please open and scroll down to "Michigan." You will see: Michigan Bass Anglers of Sunrise Side Downriver Bass Association Michigan B.A.S.S. Federation T.C.Bass Contact the Michigan B.A.S.S. Federation for assistance along with the clubs. Michigan is such a large state that the clubs may not be within your territorial boundaries. So do your homework; check out any FLS Federation in Michigan; and try to find a club in your area. Good luck. - Lake Gaston
