  1. Beautiful. Pic is suitable for your Christmas cards!!! Great job. Great dad.
  2. JB, I think it is Ja'vonte. My bad. As for the shorts, they wanted shorter ones for some unknown reason. And if you watch the games some of the other team's guys have done the same thing. Looks like the athletic staff did the tailoring work and not a pro tailor. Regarding the LSU-Will Wade "scandal" my Louisiana contacts tell me that the governor and LSU Board Chairman are getting involved and want King Alexander (president) and Big Nose Joe Alleva (Athletics Director) gone. What is interesting is why don't they want Wade to go? Do they know something that we don't know? I am sure that if the governor and Board Chair know Wade is dirty he would have been long gone. And you know the SEC knows what is going on and they have not stepped in. Wonder if we have Alabama and Auburn implicated even more than we know and the Birmingham SEC office is protecting them. Alleva is supposed to be a "basketball" athletic director, coming over from Dook after he mishandled the lacrosse scandal. There are rumors to bring Skip Bertman back to get the athletics department back on track and then hire another AD. After all, since 2008 LSU has had four basketball coaches (not counting the current interim head coach) after John Brady was let go which does not let the basketball coach and team have a strong long-term track record and stability. My friends think Wade knows a lot of big time coaches, assistant coaches, boosters, shoe companies, athletic apparel companies, AAU crooks, and players who can be charged and on the advice of his attorney, Wade is keeping a low profile. And remember, the FBI doesn't fool around and if they had Wade he would have been charged by now. The feds want his testimony at the April trial. The NCAA is just buying their time, waiting for the trial. Stay tuned, this is going to be a fun ride no matter how it turns out.
  3. Travis, congrats. Great catches. Did your dad help you? Say "hi" to him for me when you see him. In the meantime, keep those pics coming of the hogs you catch. Maybe we can go out in my Ranger this summer, if I can find the time.
  4. I think that bass was hitting the sauce and had a hangover.

  7. BigSky and everyone else who made it to the Classic: Fill us in on your Classic experience. Who did you see? What autographs did you get? Tell us about all the freebies you got. Did you see the Rage Tail people? Did you visit with the Berkley/Pure Fishing R&D people? What did you buy? Did you meet up with Glenn? Did you meet up with other guys and gals on the Forum? Did you go to any blastoffs or weigh-ins? Was it worth the time and effort to attend? Let us know. Will make some great reading.

Aaron had a bad day one. If he doesn't turn it around on Saturday it is good-bye, Aaron.
  9. Koz, saw this on Facebook. All I could do is shake my head in disgust. I fished a tournament on the upper Historic James river where every smallmouth counted and largemouth had to be under 18-inches. I caught five largemouth, all over 18-inches. I threw them back. Some people are so insecure that they have to cheat to win to build up their persona.

Crank, the parents believe that for their children to be ultra successful in business and politics they have to attend an elist Ivy League or other highly rated academic institution and they would do what ever it takes to get their offspring into those schools. The truth is that if their kids went to a "normal" university, like state institutions such as the big D-1 football schools, the kids would do well, have a great social life, make new friends, and get their diploma. If the elite really wanted their kids to get into higher academically ranked schools then you go down to the next football level and apply to Richmond, William and Mary, Delaware, Appy State, etc. (OK, kidding about Appy State). Sorry state or affairs.
  11. All I can suggest is something to keep the bears and Bigfoot away.

Our local Virginia car dealerships, Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops service center, and our local BP station can give trailers the necessary state inspection and sticker. Of course, the car dealership would probably cost more than a local gas station or other car service centers. Check around by phone and find out who can do this for you and at what cost. Try the Upper Darby area!!!!!!
  13. Thanks, R, great post. R's list includes the large bodies of water. May I suggest you go to BPS or Dick's and get the 2019 Freshwater Fishing in Virginia publication from the Virginia DG&IF. It is free. Then, try to a locate a paper map of the Virginia Beach area and look for the smaller bodies of water around schools, shopping centers, buildings, building complexes, subdivisions, etc. These are the "unknown jewels" of the area for bass.
  14. 4.5 to 5.
  15. It was reported in New Orleans that the reason Wade did not want to meet with the LSU administration is that the LSU administration was going to have the NCAA in on the meeting via conference calling. Wade's attorney told him to back off and not meet with the school officials.
  16. Wow! Be safe.

Some schools have this under consideration already.

The really sorry part of the story is if your favorite university is not included in the scandal. Is that an embarrassment or what?
  19. Use cut up hot dogs in 1 to 1.5 inch sections or squid of the same size for your circle hook. Bring needle nose pliers to remove the hooks. You can use an egg sinker of 1/2 to 1 ounce or a catfish sinker slide. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/team-catfish-sinker-slides Have fun!

Supposedly, someone paid $500,000 to get their girls into Southern Cal via the crew team when the girls never did crew in the first place. You could pay for a house on the lake and a new bass boat with that money.
  21. Yea! Great! Super! Outstanding! Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
  22. Big scandal with college admissions and sports just breaking on Fox. Lots of people involved. Guy named Singer handled the fraud on the schools and coaches. Some of the payments exceeded $250,000. False SAT/ACT scores, etc. submitted on behalf of students. FBI has names of coaches, parents, administrators, and others involved. Check it out tonight on the news and newspaper. FBI says case is continuing and more charges and arrests are going to be made. From an Auburn fan: This is some pretty amazing stuff: The documents say actress Lori Loughlin -- best known for her role as Aunt Becky on the ABC sitcom "Full House" -- and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, "agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team -- despite the fact that they did not participate in crew -- thereby facilitating their admission to USC." So they bribed the athletic department. (I know the University of Tennessee situation was with the law school, and involved mostly children of state legislators (shocking!)).
  23. That's OK. Now to get Travis on the water. Come on, Travis. Put that kayak in the water and do some fishing this week.
