Id stay away from the SX as a first bait casting reel. I did it. And it was frustrating as all get out. Way to finicky. Still is too finicky for my taste. Centrifugal brakes or im not buying ( from here on out)

Firm believer in KVD Line and Lure myself. I put it it on all my line. After every outing i just douse the spool with it. Great stuff. A bottle lasts a long time too.

Try a Firetiger or a Black Back Chartreuse. Thats what i usually use in stained/ muddy water

Ull notice it is a lot smoother on the retrieve than any curado or citica. Ull notice that the magnetic brake will come in handy in some situations. Ull notice the spool tension knob clicks. You might notice a weight difference. I can. The only thing i like better on my citicas and curados is the wider spool, about it.

Why does my Citica 201e on a Medium Action 7ft carrot stick Moderate Tip, cast FARTHER than my Curado 201e7 on a 7ft medium action vendetta with fast tip? Same line on both. BPS 12lb Mono Figure id just ask here instead of making a new topic! Serious question by the way.
