  1. Any issues with braid or fluoro tearing up the eyelets? No Sir Honestly if you had another 90 bucks and needed another rod, would you get another? Yep, Id go on ebay though and find one cheaper What about the micro guides. Are they worth buying? Absolutely How is the backbone on this rod? Great Any issues with breakage when ripping a bass out of cover? Nope
  2. Mine is also like that. Been like that from day one.
  3. Id stay away from the SX as a first bait casting reel. I did it. And it was frustrating as all get out. Way to finicky. Still is too finicky for my taste. Centrifugal brakes or im not buying ( from here on out)
  4. Take it back and get a Revo S or a Citica.
  5. Ur not crazy i seen that too
  6. Had mine for atleast a year. Still no problems. Still smoooth.
  7. Yea it all varies from person to person. The way i see it. You hold the rod with your stronger hand / arm. Thats just how i roll anyways.
  8. Ok im in a situation, I have 12 hrs to decide. Heres the situation ... Do i get a Curado 201g6 for $129.99 or do i get a Chronarch 201e6 for $167.19 ?
  9. Didnt take much thinking on my part. Just went lefty from day 1 never looked back. Wish there was more gear ratios available on certain models though.
  10. Do the G series have the Low mass spools?
  11. Firm believer in KVD Line and Lure myself. I put it it on all my line. After every outing i just douse the spool with it. Great stuff. A bottle lasts a long time too.
  12. Yea i personally stay away from people with 0 feed back on ebay.
  13. No sir, just took a charter boat out for some fun. LOC... was that the derby out of oswego?
  14. Yup, i have definitely though about switching over to all Veritas rods.
  15. Ill show you guys some other pics from our trip here you go 10lb brown 7lb brown Salmon
  16. Yep out trolling in the deep end of the pond.
  17. Got my first steel head today out on Lake Ontario. 11lbs. Put up a good fight. Especially for a bass fisher man. lol
  18. Yea looks nice. Thinking of getting a Revo S, Throwing a longer handle and EVA knobs on it.
  19. Id get it mounted. Replica though.
  20. Just thought id share this pic i seen on the LEWS fb page. Looks tiny, looks good
  21. Try a Firetiger or a Black Back Chartreuse. Thats what i usually use in stained/ muddy water
  22. Ull notice it is a lot smoother on the retrieve than any curado or citica. Ull notice that the magnetic brake will come in handy in some situations. Ull notice the spool tension knob clicks. You might notice a weight difference. I can. The only thing i like better on my citicas and curados is the wider spool, about it.
  23. Thanks guys that makes sense. Im just a part time bass fisherman. Full time duck hunter though!
  24. Ok before i start a new topic ... While we are on the shimano thing... Why does my Citica 201e on a Medium Action 7ft carrot stick Moderate Tip, cast FARTHER than my Curado 201e7 on a 7ft medium action vendetta with fast tip? Same line on both. BPS 12lb Mono Figure id just ask here instead of making a new topic! Serious question by the way.
