thanks djmax i acutally decieded to use the pvc idea i have a 3" pvc pipe capped on one end and screw off on the other i cut it down to 80 inches and now im trying ot figure out the best way to keep it mounted on my roof racks i was thinking bungee cords any ideas?

i did find one a guy made last night online and it was beautiful but he had a 4 runner which had more space but it was like a pvc holder in the trunk and a bungee running across the backseat handles above the door but it was too much for my needs cause i literally go fishing all week (i luckily work at nights most of the time) and like i like the ones that run off the basic idea of running a carrier across the roof i like that idea but dont wanna spend 30 bucks or more for a few straps and hooks lol

do you have any pictures of your set up cause i was thinking about a pvc carrier/holder and i was trying to figure out how to do it. but yeah ive been looking at bass pro and cabelas (bass pro is only 15 minutes away from my house thank god) for carriers but there just so expsenive but i guess at the same time my one bait caster is over 200 dollars so i mean its a throw up

any idea when they will be out for sale and where they might sell them the pond i fish a lot has a large population of turtles painted and snappers mostly but i have seen a few of the big 7lb+ hawgs come up and take the little guys right off the vegation they were floating on i have a feeling this will be a very good lure to have and cant wait

well the big problem i have is i fish at least 3 days a week and i just leave all my gear in the car since im going out so much and the problem i have is my fear and concern of my babies while being in the car and when im going fishing ive looked all over online and a bunch of other places for a type of rod holder that i can attactch to my inside roof of my car i just get way to nervous having my rods in my trunk where there isnt much protection from getting tossed around and my one set up is over $200 dollar and im extremely careful but its not enough anyone have any idea on products or diy ideas for a rod carrier i can mount into my jeep (its a jeep cherokee sport so its not that big on room its seven feet from back of trunk to windshield sadly) im in desperate need of ideas or help
