I use a 7'6" and a 7'11" legend tournament with a 7.1 tournament pro either spooled with 50# 832 or tatsu 15# I also have a ardent flipping reel with 25# vicious but I'm not that good with it :-/

I also have a tuned 50e with a hand built MHX rod with the same specs as my NRX. I've probably got just over $300 in everything and I like it more.

I have a NRX with a super tuned Core 50 with $50 worth of line on it If I paid list price for everything I'd be over 1K

Interesting, I've never tried braid for that. Tell me a little about your setup.

Do you normally use braid while throwing a jerkbait?

Define " killing it " are you catching anything but small fish 15" and smaller (a lot smaller)?

The only downside I've found is fishing it in a lake with zebra mussels it nicks up fairly easy, especially fishing lighter line for smallies. The Abrazex works better for that obviously...

A lot of reputable people have had problems like that so at least some of its junk! I had some 12#? And used it as a mainline and it worked Great! I know enough people that have had problems with it that I won't push my luck and buy another spool.

If we would have reconsidered you as a BR member we would have said hi.We didn't spend a lot of time on the dam we were mostly trying places we normally haven't fished We got tons of fish all smallies with probably 25+ that were only 6"! Water clarity was 4' and the fish were on rocks and crevices in about 6' of water no more no less for 90% of out fish. A somewhat smooth gravel bank would not work they were holding to some form of cover
