Hey guys, lets start planning the fall get together.... We need some suggestions on a place and a date.

Veritas! It's lighter and I like the seat.

I normally loose a jig before I wear it out. sometimes the fiberguard gets bent out of shape and I trim it until It's 100% gone then it's normally going to get snagged and lost or I roll the tip of the hook. Since I make my own I have TONS more than I actually need so sometimes if I change out a jig it will go in the "old jig" pile..

I like 50# 832 the best (if I use braid). I use the Hi-Viz? green and take a sharpie to the last 7'...

Cranks have got to be my least favorite way to fish! They definitely can put fish in the boat but what a grind.

IMHO, I use a Core50 and LOVE it! The Lew's does NOT do well with the way I cast light baits. Maby it's just me but I don't like them for the light stuff. I haven't tried the SOL

Short answer = NO What reel do you have? Have the bearings been flushed ? Does the spool shaft still have oil/grease on it? Do you set the reels up free or use a lot of breaks?

I'm wanting a new spinning rod in ML, however they have M Extremes. Does anyone think that will be too heavy for dropshot / shakey?

Yep, it's the $285? 7'11'' THAT WAS PRICED AT $205 a few days ago.

FYI, They added more rods, however the prices aren't that great. I was wanting the 7'11'' Extreme that they had listed for $205 but now the price went back up.

I understand, while I am very pro gun I don't carry 90% of the time. I have 2 small children and it scares me to death the thought of them getting a hold of my gun somehow. I mainly carry a Springfield armory XD in 9mm or if I'm feeling "really thuggy" (so Raider would say) I'll toat the 45. Neither of them have a safety it's just point and bang! Mostly they are safe Queens with the rest of the toys.

I agree with you Snook and I'd hate to have been in your shoes! the odds are 1 in a Million that you will need a gun to save your life or maybe the lives of many (Batman shooting...) but if more people were armed maybe the stories on the news would have better endings .

Are you looking for a fixed or a folder? If it's a folder with or without a pocket clip? if it is a clip will you carry it tip up or tip down? I like a tip up knife. it's easier and faster for me to get out and open. I have a Boker automatic knife but about the time I got used to carrying it the nut on the blade "bolt" fell off.
