  1. black white color scheme>>>green congrats on the enjoyization of the reel
  2. Are you using baitcasting or spinning gear? I have used 12lb on my baitcast reel with no kinks but I did break off on a big fish so I took it off the reel.
  3. If there is a chart, its probably tatted on LMG's Calf. You may have to do some cutting and pasting from various sites otherwise http://www.outdoorpr...ellus-rod-c.htm this may help using the dropdown box
  4. that person is trying to make a come up lol@ paying 100 for that gen 2 is 129.99 new or lower on many sites
  5. they go to clubs under water like in the movies so they are awake
  6. It can be finicky compared to other reels if you tend to whip your casts out. It does cast far without much umph needed when set up right. The drag is strong as an ox. If I had to pay 159 or 129, Id have passed on it but it was 70 bucks and its good reel. Someone else like Glenn may be able to use this reel and make me feel like a rookie with it. find a winch for cranks
  7. I used to have probs with original power pro in weights below 50...might have been bad spools, but recently no probs with the 65 and 10 on the spinning gear I bought suffix once but Im not fond of spending 20 dollars. It works well but turns white pretty fast
  8. I misread your quote, sorry broham. I was stating that is crazy that the same rod is 54.99 at bass pro thats 39.99 at walmart if you buy the 7ft mh and the others are 49.99 at Basspro. Them rollback prices are to be messed with!
  9. try 14, its 54.99 there for the 7ft mh, the others are 49.99
  10. You can try trimming the legs slightly, but some frogs are easier than others, even with a mh/h rod
  11. either 7mh, 6.6mh or 6,6m those are the ones they normally carry
  12. Abu Garcia Abumatic Spin Cast Reels zebco 11T Triggerspin Spin Cast Reels these spincast reels are like spinning where you can pick left or right
  13. My friend just bought a promax combo in RH as his first baitcaster for freshwater fishing. He was using it yesterday to snakehead fish with me. He had trouble walking the frog because of coordination, he had to use two hands. He tried my lh reel then said it felt weird and he would stick with rh. Later in the day he was complaining about the rh coordination again. I let him try my reel one more time but told him to try palming the reel. That was it, he was able to reel properly with the LH and control the frog as he wanted. He is returning the RH setup and will be getting another reel and rod in LH based on my recommendation. He caught a few snakehead on his RH setup and complained of fumbling with the reel and rod and lack of control from his dominant arm. I had RH setups as previously mentioned and took a gamble on a clearance 201e citica and it felt much more natural for me to use as a rh'ded person
  14. I watched this about a month ago
  15. I feel bad for him,,,,id think about that every single day upon waking and all through the day, then talk about it all day, then annoy people with the story on how I was screwed
  16. Has the hype died down or is it still alive?
  17. let us know what you think, people here seem to hate it, repairmen hat it, but media reviews seem to rate it well...payola maybe?
  18. Itll work... if you dont want to spend a dime
  19. I have used that same rod with 40lb braid with no problems for that application, plus it allowed me to use it for other things as well. I did eventually change it for a m/h tho,the m/h felt way more solid, less noodley, but it will work. I landed a 36 inch snakehead on the medium and plenty of bass in weeds. Id probably use that rod for something better tho and if money allows buy an inexpensive mh to h rod for this or see if bass pro will allow you to exchange it.
  20. What kind of fishing do you do? You can use the med..6.4 for almost everything honestly, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, worms, shallow cranking, senkos, flukes, etc. Id probably put 12lb mono on that setup rather than the 10. That rod is more like a m/h in other rods also Id put the 7 ratio reel on the mh veritas with braid and use it for jigs/frogs/flipping and pitching/ burning lipless cranks....attach a leader if you want. m/h is more like a heavy it would give you more variety
  21. I used my LR today and hooked a nice 6-7 lb snakehead that fought into the weeds, pulled it out with slop on the line. It actually seemed to outcast my veritas due to the tip with the same reel and line. Caught a nice bass also on the frog with it. You should be happy.
