  1. I'll try those spots mention@Snook. I'll try the calico rod out there
  2. Rod is awesome and the reel is smooth also. Im content with the spinning setup. Id def buy more of them. I need to peel the plastic off of the cork now
  3. Caught 8 fish in about 1.5 hours a few days ago....and 1 in the last 2 days
  4. I just bought a 7 ft mh based on the recc from the sales person. President spinning will be on it. Will test tomorrow, sure feels light. Almost bought a Tec spec but this felt better. 47 and change after the cupon for ten off
  5. I got a pflueger president, it cost me 1.02 after the credit I had. Just need a rod now. Thanks for the help. My spinning setups are and have been cheap walmart diawa combos that catch me fish. I like to fish frogs at times and people have told me to use a fast gear ratio so I assumed it was the same on the spinning since Ive never used frogs until I got my casting setup. Ill try it out once I get a decent rod. The more you read the more confused you can get. I usually keep it simple for the most part
  6. Is that canal great? Im always looking for places and Ive never been there as you can see.
  7. Something for top water frogging. I have knuckle pain from using casting rods...my form obviously but I can fish with spinning no problems in the interim while my hand calms down. I can use floating frogs like Stanley floating ribbits to compensate. I'm new so advice is definitely welcomed I would use it for other things as well but something that can work the buzz frogs well is key Thanks
  8. Thanks for the input, helped tremendously I see many reels at 30-35 inches per turn @ 6.2:1
  9. I was wondering if this is the highest gear ratio that it comes in or does anyone know of anything higher that's available? If 6.2:1 is the highest, what reel would you recommend? Thanks
  10. Thanks Cap
  11. Yessiree, fought like saltwater animal
  12. Was caught on a rage toad since someone asked via pm
  13. around which street if you dont mind me asking 441 is long lol Is near Southern Blvd good? Or near which main street do you know of that would work? I do also have boat access through a friend so I can get to the video spot also Thanks Cap'n
  14. awesome, been years n years since Ive caught one. Lucky!
  15. I caught one and it was fun. Id love to catch more.
  16. Mind sharing the spot. No boat but my dad will buy one once hes back here next month. Easier than me driving to broward
  17. Went fishing again where I live which has been dink city to me for years upon years Ive been using netbait finesse worms on shaky heads and yum pepper flake tubes (white) I got these 2 good fish. Either we have had decent fish in here and my luck has been bad or they did some work to the pipes in lake and it stepped up yesterday on tube day before on watermelon red finesse worm/shakey
  18. Welcome. I had some snakes chase my bait off of Sample road near coral ridge in my friends apt complex, but there are plenty of good bass spots near Heron Bay in Parkland. Havent had any run ins there
  19. I went a bit wild yesterday and will again on weekend lots of lures, soft plastics and terminal tackle on sale based on my soft plastics $4.97 tag = $1.24 $3.97 tag = $.99 $2.97 tag = $.74 bought many great plastic baits (yum dingers, paca craws, gander stick baits, rage tail thumpers and anacondas, t-macs, hammer worms, shaky heads, frogs, tubes) bought a strike king popping frog......horrendous IMO my receipt is longer than the dead sea scroll and I spent 16.71 Only retail items I paid full price for were some wacky o rings--$1.99 and 2 bobbers to try to catch a carp at my moms house $1.47
  20. Very fun to catch
  21. that would be horrendous, lol. I may have to take a couple weeks off after this weekend and see if it improves. I lift weights daily, Im on the pc alot, no probs...just the baitcaster induces this pain. Ill try adjusting my casting for the rest of the week
  22. No cyst, just stress on joint from technique
  23. right hand, from casting I usually hold the rod like a gun on casting and then palm it after. I may need to try using more fingers in front of the trigger but my hands are large (im 6 ft 3)..... i have both left and right handed reels
