Because it's a no boat zone and with no houses or trails around, sand I'm bank fishing it's also a sandy beach.

This is a cove on a lake I live less then a 1/4 mile from I'm pretty sure it's a pretty sandy bottom and it is never fished. Sorry for the bad pic but all I could do on my iPhone what's the best way to approach this to see if it holds fish?

Im going to to be going to Naples on Feb 22nd and was wondering if the spawn will be over by then and what the best techniques for small ponds would be down there? Thanks

Ok, but should I use the rod in the salt? or would I have to completely strip it?

I will be visting some relatives this Feb in Naples and will be doing alot of bass fishing and also some backwater fishing do you think it is safe to use my curado I will be bringing or should i just get a decent $50 spinning setup from BPS for the backwater salt I dont mind spending the money on the spinning setup if it will save me from having to strip my curado. Also whats the cheapest way to get a 7'2" rod down there shipping it by fedex or brining it on the plane. The way back wont be a problem as I can just have them drive it home in the spring when they come back to where I live. thanks

nvm guys I started to tear it down and i took apart the reel handle and star drag nob and i think something in there was set wrong because it works fine now

yeah. it does help but it rubs even when its not too loose

is there a video or picture guide on assembly?

i think i may know what the problem may be i think they spool is sliding from left to right but it wasnt doing this before?

I just got a barely used curado in the mail today, and took it apart for a quick oiling, my question is when i spin the handle then engage thumb bar for a free spool sometimes you will hear a fairly loud ticking sound like something hitting the spinning spool what could be causing this? thanks.

What are the Bantam Curados? the ones I see on ebay look like there pretty old? Are these the right reels and if so whats so great about them? EDIT: And sorry I meant 7.0:1 TW has them on sale for $119 for left hand retrieve and $140 for Right retrieve 5:0:1which I thought would be a bit slow for me.

Im going to be buying a new baitcaster I think I've narrowed it down to 2 reels either a shimano curado 200 or a revo sx which reel is most worth the money and if you know of any better reels please let me know. I'm also buying a new rod and so far I like the Abu Garcia's or a loomis rod my budget is about $250 max for both opinions please?
